This cool, i'd recommend you have some sort of instructions at the start though
@EarGuru1013 жыл бұрын
yes definately, if i make next video i will add instructions. this was actually a private video i created for training myself when i am away or at work. then i made it public so everyone can train.

Great thx. I kinda felt it and pinpointed graphic eq's freqs nicely, but then wht's the difference between, say, 14khz and 16khz? And it could be +-10 db. Measurements differ, have to have yr own ears. Thank you

Challenging, but enjoyable. Can I recommend you start with brief intro (with db boost amount, q width, etc) and a sample of the balanced mix before the guessing game begins? Also is the free version of soundgym adequate enough to produce at least some improvement in one's hearing, or is it really just made to entice someone to copping the pro version?
@EarGuru1013 жыл бұрын
sure bro, i will definately take ur suggetion and improve future videos. and sound gym is cool too. you play games and your ears get better. i think free version is fine too, but you can also train urself in ur daw, just create diffeerent presets for eqs and play with them , plus when you practice in daw it also improves ur mixing skills.

@@EarGuru101 Create different eq presets in your DAW and play with them. 🤔 Got any video recommendations that show how that works?

@EarGuru1013 жыл бұрын
sorry , I lost that information and trying to find the project , but q wast pretty narrow and about 10 db boost i guess, this was a private video for myself on the go, but recently made it public so people can use it, but in next video i will make it more detailed

open your daw software , play with eq plugin to learn how different frquencies sound, and practise here by guessing the sound, or if you can afford you can join soundgym

I think whats throwing me off is that the kick and bass tones seems to resonate more at 2000 to 6000 htz thane it does at 200. At 400 htz your kick is non existent. I may be a newbie but I am a musician. Why is this?
