Where to stay in Kuala Lumpur? There are so many 5 Start hotels in Kuala Lumpur, like the W Hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons and so on. When you book your Kuala Lumpur Hotel, you will find that several websites rank the EQ Hotel as the best hotel in Kuala Lumpur, even beyond the Four Seasons and the Mandarin Oriental. On my recent trip to KL, I had to check out what this Kuala Lumpur Luxury Hotel was all about. The EQ is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's famous Golden Triangle and features views of the Petronas Towers form many of its rooms.
The EQ was originally called the Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur, but a demolition, followed by the construction of a new structure made this the 52 stories EQ Hotel. Stunning views of the city, coupled with a world-class spa, an infinity pool, amazing restaurants, and a trendy roof-top bar, supposedly make this the best luxury hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Let's take a look and see if it is true!

I stayed at the EQ Hotel in January. I agree with you on the wine, they gauge the prices for some garbage wine. Ruins the entire experience of this beautiful hotel. The EQ hotel is first class when i comes to design, but their service is nowhere near of the Four Seasons or Mandarin, or even the W.

Good review Alex, but hotel looks nice. I always stay in Mandarin in KL. I would try EQ, but based on your review, I think they not ready for big eater like me, haha. Food important so they better improve.

The hotel is mediocre at best. Service and customer satisfaction determines star rating, not just the decor and cleanliness.
