EQ2B Siren *New* - 200 Watt Demo

New Model of the EQ2b Siren, this is a 200 Watt siren but can be used with a 100 watt speaker like I am using it. This demo was done in a sound proof room in a basement.

As long as the actual siren speakers use a reasonable volume, the EQ2B is the best siren for Fire trucks, no doubt.

I would argue that the mechanical q has a more grainy and characteristic tone. EQ is similar but the sound is very smooth and sharp

We had one of the original EQ2s on a '92 Type II Ford ambulance. It replaced the PA500 which sucked. But this one has a truer Q tone than what we had.

Our fire department only specifies the EQ2B and it has eliminated the use of big alternators to power the mechanical Q2B on the apparatus.

FDNY firefighters tend to install them themselves. Maintenance used to confiscate them when they went in for servicing, but some firefighters have started to remove their Q sirens prior to sending them to be serviced, then reinstalling them upon the engine’s return.
