@KwyatMan thats correct. I recorded my self on a turntable doing a quick chirp forward. then a quick Chirp backwards..Then the release of the sample...playing out fully. 3 samples go on three pads. FPC's master pitch is assigned to the slider. Then the pitch bend is set to 12 (one full ocitive)...tap the chirp samples while sliding the pitch...center the pitch when you hit the release sample..

This was the very first video I saw on KZbin when I discovered it back in 2007. I thought of this tune last night that sent me to sleep, I asked myself this morning, "What on earth was that insanely good tune that drifted me off?". I couldnt think, but I was just skimming across my Facebook news feed and read a friends' status that contained the text "time management"... now you know how I got back here! A truly remarkable tune, many respects.

Inspiring. Love the style. I was contemplating whether i really needed one of these, but now i see why i do. Its not just the triggering of samples, its the live control of parameters that beats manually (and tediously) adjusting them with a mouse or having to mixdown certain elements separately with a hardware mixer. It gives you so much more creativity and flexibility and the ability to mix and compose on the fly.

man I have been using FL Studio for almost 4 years now, but still I havent been able to come up with a decent track. When i look at you play, I understand you have the whole track in your mind and you hit the right pad at the right time. When I see you do that, I feel amazed because I can sense the flow already prepared in your head. I think thats the best thing about artists such as you. With just a few samples and an instrument, you just let out flow and amaze people like me.

its assigned to the main pitch in the channel settings window for the FPC kit. i set the bend to the right of the pitch knob to 11 or 12. i ahve 3 samples that i record of myself on the turn table. 1 chirp forward. one chirp backwards..then teh release of the sample. to tap the chips while bending the pitch..then center it to zero for the release sample..like on a turntable.
@Equalibeats16 жыл бұрын
yeah this was more of a performance. but i use the MPD all the time for drums and stabs and choppy bass stabs when actually "making beats" in the studio..its like using an MPC basically.

you can load whatever samples you want into FL. wav files AIFF files... FL has a built in sampler called "edison where you can record and chop your own samples from old records..or any external source. or you can rip CDs to your computer and chop sounds out of any song. all these drum samples came from old records.

you can load whatever sounds you want into both Reason and FL...i never mess with the sounds that come with eather. I find my own from old records and chop them up..or i use vintage style VST instruments. Like "lounge lizard", "B4", "Trilogy"..."Atmosphere"...all the native instruments plug ins are dope.
@Equalibeats12 жыл бұрын
They are both different kind of. The MPD is made to work with many different beatmaking programs. FL Studio, Reason, Ableton Live, Garage Bange, etc etc etc..however its main purpose is just to input sounds by banging the pads. You can also assign the knobs sliders and buttons to control various effects within your program. The Maschine Is similar however it has its own program designed just for the maschine. Since the program is specifically for it. you have a little more more control.
@Equalibeats17 жыл бұрын
No the MPD24 is aan MPC based midi controller. Yes it can do it if the software you are using it with allows that. In my case i use FL studio..yes FL studio lets you do that with the beat slicer. I chop my samples manually tho..sometimes i use the slicer for things..but mainly use the FPC.
