So far this song has not gotten the credit it deserves. The whole album is brilliant but this is my favorite! Can’t put into words how amazing these guys are and how influential they have been on me since I first became a fan 13 years ago. The rebirth of their era has only just begun.

The whole album is a constant throwback to the younger days. Of all the songs, this one is the more nostalgic for me. Being a 14 year old listening to hopesfall...16 years later nothing has changed. In whatever form they come, or with wich lineup they record a new album, they will always be legends!

I'm about 99% sure the chorus: "Just force yourself to wait You settle for the face of an Arbiter Not tempered by fault if ever alone Ever alone, falter through You stare out into something beautiful" is talking about the Catholic idea of the Beatific Vision, or Heaven, and seeing Our Father face-to-face. Just force yourself to wait: Keep pushing aside sinful tendencies, as much as you'd like to indulge in them. You settle for the face of an Arbiter: You come to the realization you need a Savior. Not tempered by fault if ever alone. Ever alone, falter through: You need to realize that you'll stumble and fall as you strive to see Perfection in the Face of God. You stare out into something beautiful: Your final reward will be to contemplate the Face of God, face to face, with all your desires being constantly fulfilled, forever If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but that's what the lyrics tell me.

I love that tritone they play at 0:48 over the major chord with the bass a half step down. It makes that riff for me. They only play it once but its so tasteful.

This song is a fucking Symphony. Just listen to it. The greats are all here.. I'm in the generation of learning, embracing, condoning and relearning shit. X the cutoff. Lol. Nothing exists with X and Y Y. Killing ourselves for colder ashes from a tree that was thick enough to blow down hills and provide warmth. That is the early God. Where are the trees. Where are the warm ashes. Why does the warm run to the cold and the bitch when others burn?
