Those of you who know Say Anything, does this bother you? I'm usually very chill but I feel like I need to step up and say that we need the rascals. Han Solo, Indiana Jones, Iron Man, they play a role that we love, but this... Max in Say Anything is the right breed of pissed off and meaningful but this feels like him throwing in the towel as a guy who found a great pussy not a troubled artist who says something worth hearing.

I have to say, I absolutely love say anything and max bemis, I've been listening to SA since they first came out and it doesnt bother me at all. Max has grown up, he's what? Thirty years old now? Happily in love and a father now, I have to say that I don't see anything wrong with him making some sappy love music with his wife for other people sappy in love to listen to. After over 15 years of songwriting, speaking for an entire generation that couldnt make the words he spoke come out of their mouth but he sang exactly what they wanted/needed, I'll let the man do what makes him happy, without complaint.

I will have to say, as a die hard Say Anything fan, I am happy that max has found stability. He makes art for himself, just because someone is an artist doesn't mean that the public owns him. That being said I wish sometimes Sherri was a little less involved in Say Anything's recent music. He does this band with her, goes on acoustic tours with her, and it's starting to slightly intrude on the music. I'm not saying she's Yoko Ono, but seriously SA's last album was very sappy, and I kinda wish there were a couple songs still written for the lonely hopeless romantic, who makes up a large percentage of Say Anything's fan base.
