If you feel like your horse doesn't like you, remember that your horse doesn't speak human and you might not speak horse. When I learned how to read horse body language and how horses communicate with each other, I could communicate with them in their language and my horse reciprocated very clearly!

After moving my horse to a new place, he was herd bound. So I asked his care taker to feed him away from the others. And that helped a lot to reduce his anxiety. It slowly got better and it took about 4 months for him to be back to normal. Now he's excited to get away from the crazy mares to go walk with me (he's the only gelding lol).

Ruach looking good! He's still very fuzzy with his Winter hair and having a Percheron cross myself, it's something that never seems to end. 😆 He's getting so tall already and still not done growing. I love seeing Ruach in videos watching him grow up into such a dapper gentlehorse. Another great video showcasing basics of horsemanship, always helpful and informative.

I'm fostering an abuse case palomino QH mare ex rodeo mount that has had a bad life. It's been a tough walk getting her to rebuild a trust with me. I eventually teased to the surface the sweetness she hid so deep.

Regulate yourself. I had horses since 5 y.o. The #1 thing was dump fear. They will follow their lead horse. The lead horse is the, most confident, most fearless. Horse are acutely in tune to herd body language. They know what you're thinking. If you're thinking, "my horse doesn't like me" you're body language is being read by them like a mirror. They end up "doing what you do, thinking what you think." At 12, I had a small grade horse that cost us $50, saddle, bridle and all. She had been ridden too young, allowed to do what she wanted and could have been dangerous. At 14 with only me training her I won 5th place with her in an open county horsemanship class competing with professionally trained quarter horses. Few things have eclipsed that accomplishment. Horses are wonderful. ❤ This is a great video!

I think my horse loves me, she only loads into a float if I'm standing inside too which would be a problem to other people but we will never sell her so its only my problem and i dont mind She follows me around She's constantly licking and chewing around me And my favourite of all, she always always trusts me ❤ even in scary moments I love her

I'm pretty sure the horse I ride and take care of doesn't much like me. I don't think she distrusts me; she does what I ask and is generally a friendly horse and is easy to catch. But at the same, I don't think she's particularly attached to me. I reckon she's pretty neutral towards me. I'm a source of good things (food) and neutral things (being groomed) and less good things (being saddled). I don't think she feels scared or stressed or even annoyed when I come to fetch her, but she doesn't seek out interaction with me either like some people's horses do, or just walk over for scratches like the last horse I rode did. And that's fine. My job is to love and care for her and hers is just to be a horse.

I have had my horse for more than 15 years. She is retired now, but something feels off. She does not like my touch at all, and does not like being haltered. (She runs away like crazy). I have tried to do all the things you say in your videos, but nothing seems to be working. She only has a few years left and I'm desperate to make a deep bond. Carmella, if you have any tips for me pls day them. Love your vids.

I would see a good vet first. It can be a sign she's hurting.
