1. I believe technical indicators work for shorter periods ( not for long term) under certain restrictions. 2. Not all indicators work all the time. 3. SL is compulsory. 4. One should know more about EXIT points rather than entry. 5. Indicators fail in case of unexpected news. 6. They need not necessarily work on non volatile stocks. Yes Few technical indicators like MACD, RSI, Moving averages, etc. are helpful, but cant rely on them completely. Need to use them to observe the price action at certain levels to take decisions.

Run away gaps are useful in swing trading, only when u enter at correct level. Exhaustion gaps might indicate reversal of trend in swing trade. I use volume, EMA, RS ,RSI(3), and fibonacci in my trading.

Adjustments are required.. Just follow the Golden rules. If rule says 'Adjust' then just adjust the position even if you are in Profit or Loss.

Adjustment are required based on the 5 Golden Rule. if your profit also see the CE and PE premium difference should be 80%. If the premium is more difference then need to Adjust. This help you to adjust the strike price easily in the gap up and Gap down market
