Youre showing more of boundry value analysis. A better example of Equivalence partitioning is testing valid inputs for month and day. You leave the months alone {1-12} and break up the days to {1-28} and {29-31} because you know all months have at least 28 days but some have more. You break these up into two groups because they will have similar behavior.

I think @example 2 it's better to put the equivalence Partitioning this way : 1000000000> I between 1000000000 and 9999999999 I > 9999999999 INVALID I VALID I INVALID thank you very much very helpful xoxo

i need your help i am not able to find the solution of 1 question . the question is - .Create the test cases to enter data in a particular text box in which we enter data for age, the values for age is ranging in [18 to 100). Output may be a success message or invalid data error message. Use Equivalence Class Partitioning and Boundary Value Analysis to get the test cases. And compare the result in terms of test cases. please help me asap.

Please help me to understand the answer of this question. In a Examination a candidate has to score minimum of 24 marks in order to clear the exam. The maximum that he can score is 40 marks. Identify the Valid Equivalence values if the student clears the exam. A. 22,23,26 B. 21,39,40 C. 29,30,31 D. 0,15,22

@rrosh52567 жыл бұрын
If a candidate has given an exam of 40questions.he should get 25% mark to pass & should get 80% for distinction .out of these which is equivalence class. (1)25,24,25. (2)0,2,12.(3)30,36,39.(4)32,37,40. Answer this question in details plz!!!
@adelaromanescu77526 жыл бұрын
So, 25% out of 40 is 10, 80% from 40 is 32. Your equivalence classes will be: < 10 between 10 and 31 >= 32 I am not sure if at (1) you made a mistake, or the option was like you wrote it, but it is obvious not the correct one. For your response to be an equivalence class, it has to lay between one of the intervals. Knowing that, you can see that (2) does not fall into any of the intervals, neither does (3), so the answer is (4), and you can see it lays into the interval >=32.
