Hey thank you very much very much for this knowledge. What is the best way to practice this equivocate. And not that just add because I know you want us to hit on the first time but I need practice at the equivocate how do I go about practicing that do I just do it a lot practice or is there some other idea that you have thank you again for all of your videos that you put out they are all excellent.

Best way to practice this is doing it to other people. You will start getting a better at understanding how the human mind picks the card and you’ll be better prepared for others. Trust me it’s a little scary to do but I promise it works. Please let me know how else I can help. And thank you so much for commenting and letting me know!

James I just now read the comments that you had gotten from a couple of other people. I really thought that they were pretty strong. Yes it’s good to get critiques on what we do but like I said I think they were a little strong the comments made by these two people. Thank you for all your knowledge you didn’t just give us equivocate but also gestures and gave us the idea how your mind thinks when you’re doing equivocate which is excellent again I say thank you and yes I have seen many of your videos and I definitely learned a lot from them even as compared to other videos on KZbin that I watch for magic. Anyway that’s my two cents don’t want to ruffle no feathers but that’s just the way I feel I thought it was an excellent video and it covered everything in detail which is something I need it anyway thanks again good day to you

Oh! Way too complicated my friend. A quicker, cleaner, sure fire way from the old school: Put the card that you want the spectator to choose as the second card counting from your right and it will be the third card counting from your left. Ask the spectator to choose a number between "one" and "four." They can only choose "two" or "three." Ninety eight percent of the time the spectator will not notice this restricted choice offer because this force has most of the psychology you are suggesting already built into it. If the spectator choose "two" you push the card second from your right. If the spectator choose "three" you push forward the "third" card counting from your left. The fact that you are pushing a card related to the number he chosed has a stronger psychological effect and is more effective. In magic, the simpler the illusion the more elegant its outcome. Using a marked deck to carry out a simple illusion is also unnecessary when there are so many simple ways to force a card that even a clumsy spectator can carry out.

I do also explain in the video that you don’t have to do any of the gestures and still get a hit but adding it is a nice touch and increases your chances

Not trying to be mean, just giving you feedback: a 3min video should have been enough to show this trick and explain how it’s done. There is no way people would actually watch a 20min for this simple trick. You can probably check in your analytics after how long the audience stops/skips the video.

I appreciate the feedback! I just like being in detail but maybe you’re right it could be too much. And yea people lose attention pretty quickly but this who actually care about the craft will watch it. But just for you I will try to find the balance so I thank you!
