Entity: grey box Attributes: circle Composite Attributes: branches of attributes Prim Key: Underlined in circle Multivalued Attribute: two circles Derived attribute: - derive from another attribute broken circle (eg: gpa get from grade) Relationship: diamond box - take Total participation: 2 line - students who attend class need to take it Partial Particpation: one lines (not all students have to take class) Relationship attribute - circle connected to relationship : a grade from taking class cardinals: M = any no. of classes N = any no. of students 1:N student can only take one class class can b taken by any no. of students M:1 a studnt can take any no. of classes only one student can attend the classes 1:1 one student one class weak identity: depends on another entity - broken underline (exam depends on class - cant have exam wirhout knowing which class it belongs to) identifying relationship: diamond box has exam has a class

Double rectangle is weak entity and double diamond is identifying relationship.

I would rather say that grade is a weak entity because it depends on the student and on the class... Besides this, great video and awesome explanation about cardinality!
