Just bought a decent er5 to do something similar, did you have everything powder coated or painted?
@tuntiope86813 жыл бұрын
Painted with professional paints and clearcoat. Kawasakigreen was leftover from ninja 250 and that was only modern waterbased paint. Everyhing else is expired aircraft paint. Budget budget budget... i would have to pay serious amounts from a powder coat.

Hi i am also building my own scrambler out of a ER5, u just replaced the carbu air filter with 2 small airfilters. I realised i had to change the needles and jets. But i lack knowledge... i am not a mechanical. Can u help me with what needles and jets i should go, so it runs smoother again?
@tuntiope86814 жыл бұрын
If you look at 0:41 and you can see that i have actually the stock airfilter and box. I choose to go with stock because it runs better this way and it saves a lot of time. If you use cone filters with these kind of carbs, it's going to be hard to get them right. Probably it needs bigger jets and a bit longer tube between carb and airfilter to get air in without too much turbulence. I recommend to go back to original airbox and filter.
