I think my only real aversion to another fresh is back when i started playing in og tbc, you got the feeling that every 2 years all your stuff became invalidated over and over and over until I started taking longer and longer breaks starting in WoD and I think it was shadowlands I gave up entirely until classic was released. Then they moved to TBC and I couldnt be arsed to feel like i was starting again in TBC with the druid and pala I had put fuck tons of hours into in classic. Came back with my gf and leveled with her to cap in wotlk classic but ended up finding turtle wow about a month after we hit cap and been there ever since. It just gets harder and harder to be "ok" with starting back at scratch all the time when its harder to find the hours to put into the game in the first place is how I feel about it

There are a lot of people that endured the grind in 2019 because it was their first time on Vanilla, me included, and I endured the grind and got 60.| Then I played SoD and there we have increased XP along with several quality of life improvements, to the point of making viable some leveling specs that until then were not good at all. I think a lot of the new players giving it a shot (like SoD ones) will just not put up with Vanilla's problems. As per your words, the population for Era is made of veterans that are used to the game, so there would not be a lot of new players and the new ones, not used to it, could just not stay at all. So I'm afraid this Fresh will just divide everything (Era, SoD and Fresh), causing a massive "dead servers" impression on every single mode of WoW Classic. But of course, the Bots may disguise this impression, who knows. The unmatchable, highly RP-Fantasy/Atmospheric, chassis of Vanilla + problems solution/quality of life/content. I still think SoD-like or Classic + is the way to go with WoW Classic.

Im actually stoked for classic fresh prog, I missed out on playing tbc classic initially, since I got so burnt out from playing vanilla as much as I did, and picked the game up again during wrath which was cool. But I'm really bummed I missed out on my favourite xpack. I've been putting a lot of work into pacing myself better. This will give me a second chance to re experience my fav xpack, so I'm not complaining.

I'm from Firemaw EU, my second warrior there is not even done. First one is, although he's been playing since 2019 with 144 Kel Thuzad kills. I am staying in era because I want to try Baulders Gate III, instead of no lifing fresh. I got my warriors in era to raid naxx as that is what I want to do most of all. Era will never die, even if we have to combine europe and usa pops.

I'm staying on Classic Era Firemaw EU. I'm happy for the fresh people getting what they wanted and I don't care if population drops for a while. We'll meet again when this fresh progresses to TBC. Remember that Era was born dead, died again on SoM launch and again on every other WoW version that got released, but its always grown back. Its the final resting place in permanent vanilla forever for our classic 2019 characters, as well as SoM characters. It will be the resting place for characters from this coming fresh don't want to go TBC at the end of the phase cycle or that want to do both go TBC, and keep the era snapshot. And i hope this time they do allow TBC era servers to remain before the transition to Wotlk. Perhaps in a few years we will see Wotlk era servers too

I'll be one of the whitemane stayers (aabcdee the warlock). Mostly for life balance - I have other things going on in my life and I only want wow to be some enjoyment on the side, not a destructive main focus. Sooner or later these fresh servers will end and we all end up back in the era situation anyway. And on a positive, perhaps we'll see more wsg and ab games due to the lower population - time will tell!

The thing is, youre an absolute exception. Barely anyone has 7 maxxed out characters, crazy amounts of gold and connections as well as being someone who organizes many GDKPs. I get why its hard for you to leave, but for the vast majority like me who want to play Classic and end up running into the option of endlessly looking for groups or buying gear due to a swiper economy...you start to feel discouraged. Fresh is a brand new economy with 0 GDKP. Sounds amazing for someone like me wanting an actual chance at competing!

Fresh Classic isn't really for me. I spent a ton of time in 2019 gearing multiple characters in T3 and completing goals of mine back then. I guess this really isn't for me. If anything I'm more interested in doing TBC but that's also something I completely done before. At the end of the day this isn't really for me as I'm not the target audience but cool enough for those that miss the boat. What I foresee happening is the rush rush rush attitude will return and it will be worse than 2019 in that regard and people will complain. Ah well.

if I need 500k honour and AV queue is 19 minutes, and the average AV game is 19 minutes. this means that you are sitting in stormwind 50% of the time!!! if you need to pvp for 30 hours to get 500k, you need to play 60 hours, 30 of them in stormwind! Just get a p i s s bottle :)

They should of classic fresh with a few “keystones”. Like only 5 of each class in a raid to become meta for end game progression guilds. This fixes class balance in PvE while still making you choose what spec of each class to bring and working around limitations. Loosing exp when you die and being able to down-level from 60 to 59 during a rough raid night and needing to re-level before next raid. Pvp points somehow being added to a guild rank so pvp guilds can see who’s doing what and where they stand against other pvp focused guilds. same with PvE points so guilds can see how they are doing vs others. 3 small changes and the game would of be fire. No new skills needed.

Instead they do the absolute minimum and re-release a re-release of a game, and an expansion that they already had all the data for. So really, the only actual hard work they have done, is the content in SoD (which is quite minimal, lets be honest). At this point, I think Turtle WoW is the best option for players, and that's kinda sad (no offence to Turtle, they are doing gods work).

Unfortunately I have little hope ever in any kind of Classic+. The brilliant minds that made vanilla wow are long gone from modern day Blizzard. When is the last time Blizz made a decent game? Let alone one in the warcraft universe. If SoD is any indication of classic+ ill stay way. Our best hope is dedicated Era servers for TBC and WotlK for those that prefer those xpacs over vanilla. And maybe d2 ladder like progression severs that reset every 2 years or something.

1-3 month fresh hype. And it will die off 100% (imagine time invested in gearing, farming, compliting things in era) p1 up to MAX3 then ppl come b to era to continue smashing end game (I survived tbc release when era was literally dead dead, i cant care less for fresh if sod didnt kill era, fresh classic definatelly wont )

Im actually concerned with Era population taking a hit with Fresh coming out and not allowing GKDPS, all those players that don't like GDKP are going to be hopping over and there is way more non GDKP supporter than there is GDKP. Im not playing either, I can't go back to stacking 15 man warriors and playing a game where 1 class and 1 race on each faction rule the game and 50% of the specs are useless. But! thats cool that people can enjoy fresh. Unfortunately, its a progression fresh server so you can't permanently stay in it and gotta go to TBC

They always come back to era, personally i've done the vanilla experience twice and that is enough for me. I will be sticking to ERA, maybe roll a character for TBC when that is fresh
