ss2727ful When Balkan countries gained independence from Ottoman empire, serbia and Montenegro were first to be independent, and then they and Albanians fought the Turks together to help Albania get independent too, so after we fought the Turks back, the serbs and Montenegrins backstabbed the Albanians and occupied Kosovo and Macedonia. And then serbia were granted Kosovo and Macedonia after a conference, they were supported by France and Russia. They wanted even more but Kosovo and Macedonia were what they got, and after WW2 whole Yugoslavia. And in 1999 the serbs wanted to ethnic cleanse the Albanians which were 95% of the population in Kosovo after 100 years of failed colonization. But USA wasn't going to sit back and watch that happen. Because we Albanians used to be the only ones in Balkan to save Jews in WW2. So USA and Nato bombed serbia and serbia withdrew from Kosovo and only the people of Kosovo with the Nato soldiers were left in Kosovo and the people decleared independence from serbia, so ever since we have been independent, and we are not allowed to unite with Albania because it will be seen as Albania stealing land from serbia. Just for the moment until things get calm, we are going to have a vote to unite with Albania soon.
