im glad someone is finally doing lore vids , I used to play this game and had no idea what was going on lol
@Eradicati0nn Жыл бұрын
I noticed before I started making lore videos that there were very few videos about the game's lore, and the few that did exist were fairly old. These videos take a tonne of research and effort but are some of my favourite to make, glad you're enjoying them too!

Thank you! I love the lore of Conan Exiles and I was overjoyed to find your channel have such intriguing insights about The Exiled Lands - I'd love for you to dig around Isle of Siptah's lore - it's like a love letter to all the Cthulhu Mythos writers. On topic: the Xalthar -> Xaltotun theory sounds really good! I never thought about it, but it adds up. But about Dhurkhan The Blackblade: he might have well been the natural born son of Tyros and Telith. In "Conan and The Grim Grey God" Dhurkhan is described as inhumanly big and monstrous person, but he's a part of the Acheronian ruling family, so it's plausible he could've undergone a few magical ceremonies enhancing his martial and physical skills, thus giving him his monstrous appearance. The prototype Accursed, if you will.

Massive Conan lore fan here! I'm subbed to both your channels and this was a delight! Excellent theory and hopefully the Exiles devs see this and bring these legendary characters to the game!
@Eradicati0nn Жыл бұрын
Thanks Sesimie, glad you enjoyed! I'm not sure if Xaltotun or Xaltana would be added in-game, though Xaltotun is now technically in the game's canon after Ancient Obolus coins. Perhaps he can be represented in some other way

I watched a Lore video from a spanish creator who made the theory that the Godbreaker is the second attempt Of the god-kings on creating a half human hybrid. And his armor and weapons were created as torture devices to keep him in line.
@Eradicati0nn Жыл бұрын
I could believe that, Godbreaker was one of my very early theories for the child of the Kinscourge, especially in his stature. I'll have to look into that theory and see if I can put together my own rendition on it
@davidfrancisco3502 Жыл бұрын
@@Eradicati0nn In his theory said the reason when the Godbreaker screams and glows in flames when he gets bigger and stronger is because Of his armor and weapons force him to feel pain and rage as the only emotions and sensations he's allowed to feel.

Magic in conan has always been very rare . At first i wasnt happy about age socery but it is confined to the exile lands which is very magic it self it fits well into conan world.

That was very interesting. Thank you for for sharing your research. In a way, these Giant-Kings reminds me of the Priest-Kings from John Norman's Gor series. An ancient race who ruled over men and built great cities until their downfall.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not familiar with Gor but that premise does sound incredibly similar

This is extremely interesting when you consider that the game used to begin with a quote from Xaltotun, taken straight out of "Hour of the Dragon". The quote itself is very interesting to analyze at it sort if hints at his life in the Exiled Lands.
@Eradicati0nn Жыл бұрын
It did? I've not heard of that before, and haven't seen it for myself as I only started playing in 2019. Do you happen the remember what line it was?
@palamaro1603 Жыл бұрын
@Eradicati0nn Back in the early access days, after you'd finished with character creation the screen would turn black and display this quote: "Much I remember, but much I have forgotten. I have been in a far land, across misty voids and gulfs and unlit oceans." - Xaltotun of Python I have the link to a letsplay video old enough that it has the quote in it, but every time I try sending you the link the comment gets deleted. Just type in "Miss Multi-Console Conan Exiles Early Access" or something like that and look for the 4 minute mark. There are certainly other videos from that early period out there as well.
