tho it hurts to say goodbye.. silver linings in the leaden sky... one day we'll return again.. and surely we will make amends. Quintessential simple but poignantly accurate and tender Erasure lyrics that WILL make me cry when I need to release my sadness and pain (again), and heal. This is the consistent soothing that Erasure has given me most of my adult life. I referred to them once as like a medicine drip when I feel (heart)sick. They keep my heart intact.

The only song I like from this album. Usually Erasure albums grow on me slowly--and it's the best kind of growing--into solid beauty that stays in my heart permanently. But this one unfortunately hasn't. Just this one song. I REALLY wish the lyric was "..as in ancient lore...", but I'm pretty sure it's "law". Right? Oh Andy.....missed a prettier lyric there in my humble/not-humble opinion xo
