Bechdel test is something I think TV networks or movie studios use to see how up to par in "equality" the movie/show is, like 1/3 of their actors have to be female or something, and they grade it
@artembentsionov2 жыл бұрын
It basically asks if two female characters are talking about something other than a man

@@1MannzOpinion To pass the bechdel test in a movie, tv show, or video game a woman can't: 1) Learn from a man 2) Lose a fight to a man 3)Be shown to be less capable then men Disney Star Wars, phase 4 MCU, most Amazon prime shows kneel to the bachdel test. She-Hulk is the latest show to have all that crap.

@@jokersdisciple8771 Uhh, no, that's not what the Bechdel test is. To pass the Bechdel test, something just has to pass three criteria: it has to (a) have at least two women in it, (b) who talk to each other, (c) about something besides a man. The whole point of the Bechdel test is that it's an unbelievably low bar, but so many things fail it.

I still like connecting signed sealed delivered to the Amazon prime bar also. Its hard for people to pick up on though.

I like the way T-Pain did Stevie so that puts it over the top for me, but like you said it is super close. The main thing you didn’t talk about is that Stevie is attacking Wonder Woman specifically for being a feminist icon, but not living up to it. So that’s why lines like “You’re Miss Independent or at least you try but your first story is you running off with a guy” hit hard. The Bechdel test is a measure of the representation of women in fiction. The usual criteria of the Bechdel Test are (1) that at least two women are featured, (2) that these women talk to each other, and (3) that they discuss something other than a man. So again, he’s saying you’re supposed to be a feminist icon but you still get a C- on the Bechdel test because you don’t have any female friends and if you did, you’d probably be talking to them about Steve Trevor. Princess Diana, but this lady don't die!- I don’t think you mentioned how f-ed up this line is since she is also referencing the real life Princess Diana who died so tragically. Gods made me out of clay, then they broke the mold! - This is a double as she is talking about how her mom literally made her out of clay in some versions of her origin. But she is also talking figuratively about how Wonder Woman was the first successful comic about a female superhero so it “broke the mold.” So you don't gotta worry 'bout a thing, Little Stevie!- another Stevie Wonder song, "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing". She also mockingly calls him "Little Stevie", which was his stage name when he was a young performer I feel like this is the beginning, (ohhh!) But you have sucked for a few thousand years! - In "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" the lyrics go "I feel like this is the beginning. Though I've loved you for a million years," And I say DC is a whole step down! In music, the note 'C' is one tone below the note 'D'. Higher Ground and Fingertips are also Stevie Wonder songs You got that wack flow! Suffering Sappho! "Suffering Sappho!" is one of Wonder Woman's famous exclamations. Like how Perry White was constantly saying "Great Caesar's Ghost. Wonder Woman was saying "Suffering Sappho". Some of your records make me wish you started drinking! Stevie Wonder practices Teetotalism, i.e. not drinking alcohol at all. Look, I don't wanna judge a Talking Book by its cover, But of the vegan buffet, you're a Full-Time Lover, And a part-time father, from what I've discovered! Talking Book is the name of a Stevie Wonder album. Stevie is a vegan. "Part time Lover" is a Stevie song so she's using that against him and calling him fat saying he’s full time at the buffet, but a part-time father.

The best (worst?) part of the Diana line is that she used to go by "lady Di", so "lady don't die" is just wow.

When he says "How you gonna talk about a bat being blind?", he's making fun of her for thinking that bats are blind. That's a total myth, bats actually have very good eyesight. I don't know where the idea that they're blind comes from but it's completely false. He was essentially calling her stupid for believing the myth and using it as the basis for a line in her verse.

This was fun! T-Pain did a great job with Stevie! I don’t know too much about him, (T-Pain) but he was great on the masked singer and what I’ve seen he’s such a cool guy. I can tell he had a lot of fun in this! I think I might have to checkout more about T-pain! I don’t know much about his music, so might be fun to look into. 💛

the bechdel test is a way of evaluating whether or not a film or other work of fiction portrays women in a way that is sexist or characterized by gender stereotyping. To pass the Bechdel test a work must feature at least two women, these women must talk to each other, and their conversation must concern something other than a man.

DC is a whole step down... yes you are right but it also means musical notes, meaning C is a whole step down from D. Also when he said "tip of your fingers to read my lips" I am 70 percent sure he was referring to Braille, where you have to use your fingertips to read bumps that transcribe to a speaking language, typically attributed to the blind.

I could be wrong, as I dont know exactly how it all works but im pretty sure his Use your Fingertips to read my lips has to do with Brail. If u mentioned this in your breakdown i probably missed it. But im fairly certain there is a form of reverse brail, where instead of you feeling the dots with your own fingers someone else makes the indent in there finger, and brush it on ones lip (sensitive area) and the blind person can feel the letter/number/etc that way. Its almost like a heightened sense. where vibration can give a visual blueprint (I think the movie Dare Devil is the best example I can give)

Also, letting bats down easy is a triple if I had to guess, since bats are blind, she may or may not have let rejected batman, and potentially referring to a literal bat since in the last couple lines she talked about a league of our own? A stretch, but possible
