You might think I'm joking, but in Japan, the government sees any e-bikes as "motorcycles", even those with motors less than 500W, so they require us to put a number plate, apply for a mandatory insurance and must have a motorcycle' driver's license. Imagine a number plate on a freaking bicycle. Too stressful.

Does it regenerate on braking? Also, can it be set to go 70km/h? I think if it can do these two, it would be awesome (after applying some thermal paste on those controllers though and adding some waterproof gaskets to keep things dry.

There is no regenerative braking system and I think its top speed is 56Km/h

Because their motors have a planetary gear system and I think that's why they didn't add a such system. Otherwise, it will lose a lot of momentum🤔

Alas, the first thing I look for in a 'reviewer', is where his/her feet are on the pedals. The arch of the foot should NOT be over the centre of the pedal, this is known as 'clogging', very poor power transfer and will eventually damage your feet. Only small children who have not been taught how to ride a bicycle properly do this at first (until their feet hurt), LOL.
