And to think that Peugot was / is famous for their 203, 404 variants, but what is interesting, is you barely saw a pickup much less like this one, they would getbthe cars, and somehow make a pickup that looked like this, I saw some videos where they took the 404 and make a pickup, and this was in Africa, nice sample of an original,👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌

A lovely restoration of a very rare 1955 Peugeot 203C Pickup! I just love the simplicity of it all, no ECU or engine management systems of any way shape or form, the wooden floor in the buck, the original working semaphore indicators, the pull start button & the simple dashboard! I assume it has a ignition key switch of some kind or the battery isolator under bonnet does this job? I did notice that the fuel gauge didn't appear to be working & the interior light wasn't working either when driver's suicide door was opened? Have these been rectified now please & you still have this pickup & use it from time to time?

Early Peugeots were not fitted with an ignition locking switch. A push/pull switch was fitted. Push in on./Pull off. Imports to Australia were fitted with Wilsonia key switches before delivery. Rather pointless, as they were easily shorted out. However car theft was almost unheard of in that era. How times have changed.
