James Bancroft Trianon declared what had happened in 1918. Hungary broke down in 1918 in Alba Iulia when The Great National Assembly of the Romanians decided to join the Kingdom of Romania .However, Hungary could not oppose, in 1919 the Romanian Army occupied Budapest and half Hungary. From the point of view of the Hungarian population there were only 15-20% in Transylvania, so they were minorities.The only loss is politics, the rest were not the Hungarian territories. You were brought here along with the Szeklers and the Saxons for dominate the native daco Romanians population. 1000 years was not enough because we are home and hungarians not.

You have a typical demagogic and nationalist opinion and you don t take into account many facts. Transylvania isn't the homeland only of Romanians as it isn't the homeland only of Hungarians. Transylvania always was a multicultural land, and the main nations are the Romanians, Hungarians and Germans (Saxons). These three nation has a cultural heritage in this land. Today Romanians are the major population but the historical and cultural heritage of Hungarians or Saxons are more powerful and this means that nobody can say that Hungarians or Saxons aren't at home in Transylvania. The I WW was a terrible failure for Hungary and it was a big chance for young Romanian kingdom. The great western powers had a very important role in Romanians succes. Their interest was to liquidate the Austro-Hungarian Empire one of the main enemy and this interest coincided with Romanians aspiration. This was the key of succes. But this is history and the present shows something else. The sad fact is that it was a mistake to give Transylvania to Romania (not to Romanian nation but to this balcanic state). The people of Transylvania would have today much more prosperity if they remained the part of Hungary or if they had an independent state. Between these three real option the worst was realized. I think the March of Transylvania represent an other historical mistake. The Hungarians accepted a deal from the evil and they accepted a piece of teritory what was impossible to defend with any army for the geografical conditions.
