Funny enough to I finished from FEDGO (FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, ODOGBOLU, OGUN STATE). I remember the time I stabbed prep, I stayed back in the hostel and some seniors caught me. I told them I wasn't feeling fine but they didn't believe me. They beat me to stupor. The next day, one of them came back, came to me and told me to go to his corner, once I got there, he climbed his bed and told me to burst his pimples. I did this from 10pm till 2am. I cried. I had exams the next day and he made me do this. Once I was done, I went to my hostel. Once it was bright the next morning, I ran to Mr. Aminu's House and reported the senior. He was later deboarded. All seniors feared me later on.

Every bit of this video wowed me. It is a perfect flashback on my experience in fgc boarding school. Lying flat was the best punishment cos I would sleep as much as I wanted. Smiles# worse five and best five #made me read like my life depended on it. This was just what happen to me during my boarding school day at KANKON especially d "labour"

Girls hostel wasn't as hard as boys hostel. . But it was hard too, when you go to the reservoir (the farthest tap to the hostel) to fetch 1 bucket of water and you have to carry like 5buckets for seniors before you can get yours.. After getting it, some seniors will still go round in the morning to get one bowl and you end up bathing with half bucket of water. When there's scarcity of water and you have to use one pure water to do rub and shine. Or when you have the count of 10 to finish taking your bath and you end up crawling out of a dirty bathroom When everyone gets punished for not cleaning the hostel.. We end up sleeping in the courtyard. Fun parts are the every Saturday jogging, free time after labour (no prep) till evening when we go for social night. And every Sunday lunch (best meal) jollof rice, meat and ice cream We'd make garri cake for our friends on their birthdays. Last boy was one ju.. for us, see scattering and trampling na.. The senior may just pick the first person.. Experience too plenty Abeg! Day students were inferior to the boarders! I rep Lagos state model college, Meiran.. Even though I only spent 3years there (js1 to 3)

I have watched this so many times over the past months! This video is hilarious but it is also serious, important and revealing. We Nigerians complain about the lying, stealing, cheating and fraud that goes on in Nigerian society. We need to question whether these types of schools are breeding grounds for producing that fraudulent dishonest type of character in our children. Children go to school to learn good things but these places surely destroy their integrity and good character. If children arrive as decent, honest, sweet, sensitive souls with clean characters these schools will transform and damage their character. We need to measure and compare (if it's possible) those differences in the character when they graduate and leave these schools. Apart from making them tougher, the experience seasons them in a bad way. What damage is being done? What are the long lasting effects of this boarding school experience?

Hahahahaha this was so accurate and I'm only 4 minutes in. (I'm in tears). But in FGCL Ijanikin we called ZAPE; PROVZ. Lol another way to get a school father was by having a skill that made you unique and could make them look good, for example if you sabi dance wella, or play football or basketball wella, or you were good with babes in senior class, a contraband master or you were obviously born with a silver spoon and it shows everytime your people come for visiting day (school father would come for interview). This was so fun to watch

Schools are changing o. Bullying is a serious issue. Like even simple pinishment, they will question the senior what the junior did. But this is really nice tho. Wow. You guys go through a whole lot. Nothing close to this happens on the girls hostel. And actually, some people have never done rub and shine in school to. This is really nice

I usually hid bucket of water and my drinking keg in my locker tho it was contraband. I never ran out of water or provisions. To the extent that i would start using what i had for trade by barter when there is scarcity.

Haaaa labour day Jesus..!!! Scrub bathroom floor, scrub quadrangle , scrub everywhere, then the house mistress will come with her own as well 😒 with her inspection every Saturday morning ..
