This is the only way to keep them away from him...Mikasa loves him so he talks about hating her...he had been Armin's protector and turned into the attacker. The physical and emotional pain he has inflicted on his friends was chosen deliberately...I haven't read the manga yet but I just believe that Eren sees a bigger picture in which hurting Armin and Mikasa will end up saving them in the future...this point of view helps me cope with whatever is unfolding right now 🥺

Their conversation went to trash right from that point. Eren's problem with them is that they are naive. He feels he can't trust them with his secrets. They can't do cruel things to save paradise and they don't understand that they have very little time because whole world is their enemy, they won't survive for long if they keep talking. Also eren is not a moral person like them. He is violent and ruthless, so that's also the reason he behaved like that. And my comment was for fun, not a serious analysis of this conversation🙄

First off this doesn’t need to be a fight, Eren was very logical. Just because he said he “hated” Mikasa doesn’t mean that his points before we’re not valid. Armin is heavily influenced by Bertolt because he allows himself to be for one and he also doesn’t realize that he is (such as using a different dominant hand and his obsession with Annie). Eren has the mommies from his father and the Owl but he isn’t bound to them. Eren might be a slave to freedom but that wasn’t what he meant when he said he was free. Every single person on this planet is a slave to something, a government, money, we are even slaves to breathing. Eren meant that he isn’t anyone persons slave, he doesn’t answer to the survey corp., he doesn’t answer to paradise, he doesn’t answer to Zeke, he answers only to himself. What he said about Mikasa being bound to Eren is partially true, she is by Ackerman blood supposed to protect those who awaken their abilities. We have seen before that Mikasa would kill herself to save Eren, and when she thought she died she pretty much gave up and wanted to die. She also cares about him passionately because she loves him, but as you can see with what she did with Armin she is naturally programmed to protect Eren from harm regardless of who the attacker is or the cost.
