Yeah... I think when he keeps saying "I'm to kill them all" is just a way to 'comfort himself' and make him believe he hates them. I really think his character does not think like that anymore, and that's why he was so depressed the whole season 4.

Eren seems to be placing no regard on his friends’ well-being. He knows about the spiked wine but does not mention it to anyone, doesn’t seem to care that Zeke could’ve killed Levi ( who saved his ass many times) and levi get betrayed and his 30 soldiers, he lets Pixis and the other military personnel die, he gets Sasha killed in Liberio, he imprisons his friends then refuses to take away their ability to transform because it would be “taking away their freedom” (Hange/Floch die as a result).
