sorta, Fine/thick 'usually' refers to the diameter of the hair follicle. The density (you could say, dense vs sparse, or thick vs thin) refers to how many individual hairs on your head, like 1 person might have 100 follicles per 1 square CM, and another person might average around 150 follicles per square CM. I know its confusing. XD, bc you can have thick hair that is at the same time, sparse, or thin.
