battlegrounds were honestly a copy of ABA honestly. Considering their combat is identical INCLUDING the features of private servers. I dont know HOW the hell its even popular its just a ripped version of ABA just focusing on a sole anime, but most characters are barely even accurate to the manga or anime. Atomic samurai is literaly just rengoku, Garou is actually accurate, tatsumaki is just mob and fubuki. I feel like battlegrounds games will be the death of roblox. ABA has matches while TSB is just kill, emote and move on and the "round" never ends. Its just a loophole, im actually praying BG games die down and theres an actual fighting game thats innovative.

This really pisses me off. Here’s why: My friend is a HUGE op fan (one piece) and me, liking bg games, tried getting him to like those games too. He said he didn’t like them that much and said a lot of the bg games didn’t have anime he liked (one piece etc). So as soon as I heard that a op bg was coming out, I instantly told him and me and him got so hype for it. Months later, we tried it out once it released and he said it was so cool because of the effects. We started playing it a lot until they stopped providing updates. It was sad seeing that this game that me and my friend were hyped for and had so much potential, didn’t update, and he got bored of it. When the update came out he said that he was disappointed in it. That was the last time we played bg games together. (We still play other games with eachother)

I still play this game to this day and I still enjoy it. I also keep up with it's discord servers. Right now they are revamping the game. They will also be removing Gojo from the GamePass and will replace him with a new character(people who already own him will get another character). Zoro will get a finisher for a first move "Onigiri", Enel will also get a finisher(I forgot what move), Luffy gear 5 will get a new move(it's when he punched Lucci after transforming), and lastly the next character to be added to the game will be Katakuri.

As crazy as it is. There was a huge announcement in the discord one day after this was posted saying they will be remastering Seas Battlegrounds with new developers and that it would be done right. They also said they would not be adding characters from different animes anymore because they learnt from their mistakes and that the current gamepass owners of Gojo will keep their gamepass but get a different character.

Tbh thats pretty much the state of many roblox games. In a market or system where putting resources into something new and alot of variables vs having an already made successful game or an existing game/idea thats heavily monetized. I think in a safe way that isn't cost effective, it was a no brainer. Even if the trend was substantial, in the long run, it would be temporary. Take Anime Vanguard for example (same owner), generally speaking, a game that takes on multiple genres or communities of various animes would go well against a short term trend in an oversaturated market.

Tbh, if I make a battleground one-piece game, which I might do if I learn some more coding and VFX, I would add luffy first with an ult on gear 2. Then I'd add Zoro and give him wano abilities for his ult. Then I'd aim for either crocodile, doffy, white Beard, or katakuri, depending on what the people want. Then, after those guys, I'd add a priv server character, which I'd like to be frieza because he's my fav anime character. Then, I would probably add a pre-time skip character like enel or buggy with a 2nd moveset for luffy, which is gear 5, unlockable through a tough quest. Then I'd aim for kaido or bigmom, then shanks, blackbeard, etc. I would try to fix as many bugs as I can while keeping a good update schedule because by the time I'm writing this, many battleground games haven't have been updating, with JUJITSU SHENANIGANS as an exception. I'd add ranked 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 on release or the first update. Emotes unlock every 50 kills with finishers counting as 2 kills. I would also like to add an anti running system and anti teaming system like JUJITSU SHENANIGANS and anything else to stop people from ruining the game. I wanna also add destruction, but I don't wanna end up like realm rampage 😅. Many other characters like Kaku, Rob Lucci, Perospero, Queen, King, the rest of the straw hats, Shank's crew, etc, I would absolutely love to add. I'd try to make the visuals as appealing as I can, but as a solo developer, it would be hard to balance school and update schedules. I'd try to make the moves not overpowered. In my game, no moves will one-shot. I want there to be a map rotation mechanic like that one dragon ball battleground that died. I will try to add settings to handle with lag because, as a mobile player, lag is an issue for me. Each character will have a spawn animation, and certain moves will have effects. For example, if crocodile stabs you with his hook, you'll be poisoned for 5 seconds, dealing 2 damage each second, and with players having 100 hp, the poison will do 10 damage, and with putting it with the hook stab which would do 5 damage, it does a total of 15 damage. Each character should have 1 counter in either their base or ult, so it would be balanced. And for now, that's all I can think about, Now, if you don't mind me, imma go learn Spanish in Duolingo, or else I'll vanish 😨

i think the “long wait, big update” makes very little sense, when the big update hits, a large amount of people would have already left the game (there is a very slim chance they get revived from it) pumping out small updates with little wait that also adds to the current content will keep the playerbase when the substantial update comes, so why not do that?

i liked it a lot and even though gojo being there is dumb hes still i think the best gojo in a battlegrounds outside of jjs but i think what really killed the game was no updates

The reasons tsb can get away with gojo is because 1- they came up with it first, starting that trend in the first place 2- gojo is only accessable in private servers with the ps+ gamepass 3- they didn't spent literal months on gojo, gojo in tsb is only a additional piece of content to tsb that doesn't affect the game entirely. He's literally just there to be a overpowered character for you to goof off with your friends.

obligatory gojo and sukuna movesets destroy bg games. If I ever do a BG, I'm adding them and making them the worst movesets in the entire game. As much as I love Gojo and Sukuna as characters, they already have JJK games to live in.

They are completely reworking the combat and everything and they said they learned from there mistakes and will no longer add characters from another anime’s
