Erev Shabbat | Ki Tetse: When You Go Out

Join us for our Erev Shabbat service we will be going through the weekly teachings from Monte Judah. Ki Tetse is a unique teaching in the Torah. It focuses on one topic and addresses the topic by example without mentioning the word, which is “kindness.” Kindness is appropriate in every situation of life and is an essential requirement before reaching the heights of “love.” This portion details many examples of kindness. One must first be kind before loving another person. This is a very important teaching if we are to keep the first and second greatest commandments: loving God and loving our neighbors.

I have been praying about kindness. There is so much hate in the world and people are not being kind to each other and it really bothers me. I was asking Yah how I can be kind the way He wants us to be kind not as the world see kindness. I was so surprised when I heard your Torah portion and thankful for answered prayers. Rabbi you are an awesome teacher. I have issues with family members because of abuse as a child. I tell myself I don’t hate them. But I get angry when I see them… But I would help them if I could if something bad was to happen to them but I still have a grudge..

Thank you for another inspired Torah lesson. I have heard that Deut.24:5 could pertain to The Messiah… a duel Prophecy. When He returns & the first-fruits rise up in the air (those who have died in the faith, & those who are alive & remain) will they be with Yeshua one year, before He comes back with His chosen saints to usher in the Kingdom? There’s other Scriptures that indicate this may be true. Praying for you Monte and this ministry to be blessed. ❤️❤️❤️

It is very simple to understand....She brought shame to the house where she was living. As long as a child lives under the roof of her father , she has to answer to him. "My roof my rules" And it was dishonourable to a father to betrothe a girl that is not a virgin.....Do not forget that we are backing up over 3000 years. Today we live in a generation of "Shacking up" Our world is going down the toilet as for morality....Thankfully this is the last generation.

The spirit of God's law is wisdom. This verse is about family honor and financial loss, not sex.

Punishment is reserved for The LORD. I believe the commandment should be enough to deter one from having sex before marriage. A family name (reputation) was important. Being brought to shame would have been a terrible thing at that time (it should be now, also). I wouldn't have liked to be "de-flowered" either and then have it shown to others. HIS commands, if taught when I was young would have kept me from losing my virginity before marriage 😮

Question, how is it a kindnes for a concurring army / Soldier take a woman shave her head and trim her nails then allow her to greive a month for her dead parents. Then go in humble her and have marital relations with her, then decide shes not that interesting let her go. Go where? Her parents are dead where can she go? Shes damaged goods. So how is that a kindness. Please help me understand this.
