I I have used the introduction of this student analysis to help me construct my own introduction for my Inspector Calls essays - would this be okay to use for the start of all my essays. ‘JB Priestly wrote an Inspector calls using and allegorical message, with the allegory hoping to change the ways of people with capitalist views and avoid social destruction. He uses political diatribe to critique Conservative party ideals. Through the use of…’ I feel this would give me a strong start but what do you think?

You definitely have to acknowledge that you understand the writers purpose and with Priestley this is huge as the play is political and moral

this is probably downgraded to a 6 because of the comment on rape, at the time when this was written what eric did was not perceived as rape
