I really dont like that Dave Meltzer was one of the main people that they interviewed, everytime he speaks even in the documentary he says that he knows for a fact something is one way then seconds later says probably and that he thinks
@tebraizshahzad33643 ай бұрын
He's lost his way. Meltzer is subjective and has made many mistakes and errors. I didn't always agree with his opinions but I subscribed to his newsletters in the noughties. They were good reads when at College and in my 20s. Even the historical issues on the Steroid trial, Montreal Screwjob and WWE buying WCW was compelling reading, even if I didn't agree. I think he's lost his way though a fair few years ago. I can understand why many in the business don't like him. He's better as a writer or in written form. He was ok in the 90s and noughties in short soundbite or occasional interviews but his over audio saturation has worked against him.

You can't listen to anything that that man says anymore. He is broken. It is what it is I guess. Either way, the documentary was terrible. Didn't do anything new. They literally copied and pasted stuff from other documentaries.
@tebraizshahzad33643 ай бұрын
@@user-ol1zk3kv1d I see your point. I think Meltzer came across better as a writer , reading him off the page with the occasional screen interview or comments like in the 90s or naughties. @@jkranites it was a A&E WWE style doc. The last 20 min went over the latest headlines. The rest was an overview of the WWF/E.

@@Rob78169 na. That was not what it was billed to be. But I get it and so does Eric

I started on episode 6 for the good recent debauchery, then went back to 1 - 5.

Conrad silencing Eric and not allowing him to talk politically is NOT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Major thumbs down, and from multiple accounts I own.
@Stonehorn3 ай бұрын
Why? If he wants to talk politics, he should do it on his non-wrestling show. There is literally nothing about this documentary that requires political statements from Eric. Talk wrestling. Also, thumbs down gives them engagement. In the KZbin algorithm, the thumbs down carries the exact same value as the thumbs up. It’s relies on engagement, not the type of engagement.

This! I can barely make it through this because of how shit Conrad is

Conrad is kiss ass, I wouldn’t trust him in any situation. Conrad plays both sides. He’ll never give an honest opinion one way or the other. Only reason he didn’t like the doc is because it wasn’t enough dirt he could try to capitalize on.

This doc is not for us wrestling fans, it’s for the back in the day fans when they were kids and or the new Netflix audience they seek to acquire

I HEARD THEY WILL DO ANOTHER SEASON USING MORE FOOTAGE. THEY'RE NOT JUST GONNA THROW ALL OF THAT AWAY. AND GO LOOK AT IT, IT ACTUALLY SAYS SEASON 1, SO THERE'S MORE TO COME...STAY TUNED!

Oh my god i actually agree with Conrad for once😂 this documentary was stuff we already knew about Vince

I thought an interesting point that they briefly discussed was how they wanted to find a new charismatic champion and they briefly showed dusty but then quickly say how it didn’t work out and they moved on to hulk. I think it would have been insightful to get Vince’s feedback on the dusty situation instead of brushing it under the rug. I think they should have also interviewed some of those other territory owners or thier descendants get what they thought of Vince through their interactions instead of just the wrestlers that he stole.
