To me, that tells me a lot about who Clapton is. Great to see he is not above playing a small room with low ceiling for a handful of people. Love it!

What I really dig is Clapton playing in Jimmie’style, nothing fancy, no blazing solo, just down to earth 👍👍👍
@tribeshift3 жыл бұрын
What I love most about Jimmie is that he has his own style and sticks to doing what he loves. He never ever tries to impress and as Stevie once said, Jimmie only ever plays 1% of what he knows.

Yup. Classy gentleman. Saw him in his hometown in 2014, great fun show.

Dude this is awesome. I saw Jimmie open for Clapton in Nashville a few weeks ago and he is still a great player and showman. Clapton was or course incredible as always and for an encore Jimmie and Marcus King played with Clapton and it was really awesome. I would love to meet Eric Clapton and Jimmie Vaughan because both seem like incredibly down to earth guys. Eric is all steak and no sizzle. He literally just plays the songs, thanks the crowd, and goes onto burning down the next one. I love that about him. Jimmie works the crowd a lot more but in a really authentic and non pretentious way.

I lived in Austin Texas in the middle 1970s and saw Jimmy Vaughn play with Storm at Roger Collins One nite Bar , and at The Armadillo World Headquarters with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, saw The Fabulous Thunderbird's at Harlings Upstairs in Kansas City around 1980 or 1981 and they were great, Keith Ferguson was still playing with them and he was a wonderful bass player, RIP Keith

Jimmy tuned down just like Stevie... thus the capo. Nice.
@tribeshift3 жыл бұрын
I believe he uses a capo because he likes to play open string licks in the style of Lighting Hopkins and changes the capo position based on the key of every song.

What’s interesting is that EC is playing straight up “Jimmie licks”, licks EC usually does not play on his own…. He always had that talent of adjusting his style to whoever he is playing with.

Я понимаю что после смерти брата появился Джимми Воган, и наверно какие-то заработки у него новые появились, но это Американская самодеятельность. Конечно Эрик очень тактичный человек и ни когда не отказывается от таких выступлений, а они на нём ездят.
