My wife passed away almost a year ago. After 46 six of marriage and five more. As it says, 10 part of beauty came down from heaven. 9 parts she got and the rest to the world. Such was her beauty, as she was from inside. Hearing this song specifically and many other love songs, makes me cry and longing for her. How lucky I was!

moshe moskovits This is the best tribute you could pay to this song and your wife. I love this one by King Cole, though. These songs as we hear over and over become part of our mental system which we dig out when an occasion arises. Not necessarily death of a very dear one. I do understand your feelings.

The falling leaves drift by my window The autumn leaves of red and gold I see your lips, the summer kisses The sunburned hands, I used to hold Since you went away, the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all, my darling When autumn leaves start to fall Since you went away, the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all, my darling When autumn leaves start to fall Yes, I miss you most of all, my darling When autumn leaves start to fall

LÁ THU I try to turn this poem into Vietnamese freely. Have a nice day.

My deepest condolences to you for your loss. Was 1950 the year he was born, or was it the year he passed away? My Dad was born 1943 June 10. He died 1970 November 19. My mother: 1939 April 14-2003 June 4.

Eric Clapton for me living legend . Every kind of his music - blues , swing , soul its master piece . Just great .

Clapton is to my generation (and a few others) what Sinatra was to my parents generation. That is high praise indeed for a man that has mastered two instruments. The guitar and his voice.

Thank you Mr. Eric.

This is a staggering interpretation of a classic song which is, in itself, timeless. Clapton's genius (as Jan Durgen says) is testament to his ability to place his signature on a piece as incredible as this without compromising its melody or subtleness. I ADORE this piece of music. Thank you so much, Andrew. XXX

Gittin. Ben hala dinliyorum. Hala aynı duygularla. Hiçbir şey değişmedi be. İlk yazımızı hatırlıyor musun? Bana benimle hayallerin olduğunu ama asla söylemeyeceğini söylemiştin. Gerçek olmuyorlarmış söylediğin zaman. Yalvarmıştım telefonda söylemen için. Bir tanesini söylemiştin. Mezuniyetle ilgili olanı. Keşke söyletmeseymişim. Herneyse güzelim. Şarkıda da dediği gibi, "Since you went away, the days grow long and soon I'll hear old winter's song but I miss you most of all, my darling when autumn leaves start to fall." Hala ilk günkü gibi. Sevgiler.

Saw Eric Clapton in Nashville in 1990 one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. He’s absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song. Love the way Eric sings it. But as much as I love Eric and God knows I do. But the most beautiful version ive ever heard is Eva Cassidy sing it. Her voice goes straight into my soul. If you haven’t heard her. Everyone should listen to her version of this beautiful song 🍂🍁

Just thought I'd mention just in case that the original Autumn leaves is a french song called "Les feuilles mortes" written by Prevert and Kosma and made famous in France by singer/actor Yves Montand in 1946. Since then, the song was covered a zillion times and is your classic first jazz study.
