When I first heard this song 40 years ago, I liked it but I didn't love it. Now with 40 more years of life experiences I can really appreciaate the simple, uncomplicated lyrics and their powerful messages. "It's all wrong, but it's alright" is genius. Thank you, Eric, for all these years of music.

Bell bottom blues, you made me cry I don't want to lose this feeling And if I could choose a place to die It would be in your arms Do you want to see me crawl across the floor to you? For the comment below. The one who plays the piano is Billy Preston. He was also known as the 5th beatle becasue of playing the piano in many songs of "let it be" album. Although I am not sure, he passed away in 2006 or 2007.

@@sammie2893 THAT I agree with...maybe. This generation are unfortunately force fed corporate crap despite whatever innate talent they have. Lady GaGa is very talented but she'll never develop into a Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks as the industry won't afford them the time to develop. They go for the corporate-friendly prepackaging and quick $$$. Any day now she'll receive the lifetime achievement award. We are literally robbing the cradle.

I tend to always prefer the original studio recording of most songs. BUT when you add Billy Preston's contribution via the Hammond B3 with Leslie Speaker you now have an added dimension. You can always tell when Billy is working his magic as he does here and with other artists like Ray Charles and the Beatles. RIP Billy. We miss you!
