"Change The World" If I could reach the stars Pull one down for you, Shine it on my heart So you could see the truth: That this love inside Is everything it seems. But for now I find It's only in my dreams. And I can change the world, I will be the sunlight in your universe. You would think my love was really something good, Baby if I could change the world. If I could be king, Even for a day, I'd take you as my queen; I'd have it no other way. And our love would rule This kingdom we had made. 'til then I'd be a fool, Wishing for the day... That I can change the world, I would be the sunlight in your universe. You would think my love was really something good, Baby if I could change the world. Baby if I could change the world. I could change the world, I would be the sunlight in your universe. You would think my love was really something good, Baby if I could change the world. Baby if I could change the world. Baby if I could change the world.

I've heard so many versions of him doing this song...never with one horn doing his middle solo though....but o god.....this pattern at the end....He's strumming and getting those perfectly symmetrical dyads and triads....and all the tie in phrases and wicked little runs....it's just gorgeous playing as usual....he's so super-fluent he just does it like a master short story teller....combined into a human metronome...beginning, middle, end...all locked together like a perfect puzzle or dimensional snowflake...they aren't just riffs...it's beautiful "micro-composition"....and if he did it 2 minutes later it'd be different and just as good....It's addictive to listen to for me....it's too good....and I am turning off this computer and gonna read a book or something and get those phrases out of my head...how does he combine simple pieces into something so intricately elegant, and so full of fire at the same time....? Maybe , maybe, Keith Jarret can do it too sometimes.......maybe....But Eric Clapton has been Opening The Lotus for 50 years now like nobody's business....It isn't real...but there it is, right in front of all of us to hear it.... I don't know and never really will...even if I imitate it...it isn't my composition...and he doesn't think twice. It's almost always that way with Him....he preserves the intensity of rock or blues but brings phrasing and elegance to it as no other guitarist on earth I have ever heard. His stuff is just gospel to me....

Yes, David Gadd is killer on drums but Eric also has a horn section he's used in the past that is so darn hot it makes me want to cry. They, along with Mr. Gadd where on a recording of Tore Down I'll never forget. Eric shows just how good guitar playing can be on that Gibson. ERIC CLAPTON TRIVIA: British rock star Eric Clapton raised $2,15 million at a New York auction of 75 guitars and 55 amplifiers, more than triple the pre-sale expectations, says auctioneers Bonhams. The proceeds from the sale at which every lot found a buyer will go to the 65-year-old guitar legend’s Crossroads Centre drug and alcohol treatment facility in the Caribbean.

you dont have to play fast fingers in guitar playing,.because fast fingers will take you only hours of practice,.but the feeling of blues music will take you years and even decades to get thru it..blues is easy to play but it is hard to feel..its not how fast your finger is,it is how you play the note..thats why eric clapton is i think one of the best guitarist in the world.

@fight2legalize It's right near the Groom Dry Lake...a perfect test bed for developement of new UAV aircraft, fighter jets, stealth aircraft, etc. I follow lots of the "UFO" and "aliens" stories, and most point to this facility...which displays various signs in the night sky on a regular basis of "hovering" crafts that appear to make no noise. With billions of dollars per year and the best scientists and constant research money can buy - the U.S. military is decades ahead of the outside world.

@fight2legalize Secondly, because I see that you are a fan of all sorts of odd conspiracy theories, a fan of movies such as Pineapple Express (I work for a movie industry - this move was TOTALLY smoking marijuana only, and it is disturbing that people want it legalized for this reason)...it's not hard to see the real agenda behind this. You can take all of the oil/seeds you want, but without exercise, proper diet, enough rest and a general healthy lifestyle...it's no good.

its just a variation on the Bmaj chord he just doesnt use the 2nd and 3rd strings, to help you undestand it better u surely have seen the variation of the Fmaj chord where its played in d open Cmaj position only only dropping the hand 1 string down but you still get the same sound, wit a very slight differance thats maybe what hes goin 4, thats my opnion anyways. p.s i was just using the variant of Fmaj as an example he doesnt use that fingering here and just follow it up d frets 2 d G position.

I love the bass solos at the beginning. And also listen to the guitar solo. Very unique. And also how the vocals and the insturuments colide at the chorus to create one great harmony - also very nice. That's what I like about Clapton's music (especialy Layla and Tears In Heaven) - the richness of the music. Great song.
