@kingsteven9128 I respect other people's opinions but I think Eric Clapton is one of the most influential guitarists in the history of rock. From Van Halen to Joe Bonamassa he is cited as a source of inspiration. Personally I have always appreciated him, the ability to put the right notes is reserved for the greats like Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan. I appreciate much less the super technical shredders with their useless notes at the speed of light, always the same. Clapton has always taken risks in live concerts, never a solo the same as the album, this is genius

Listen to Claptons playing on Creams first album and then listen to it on Disreali Gears. The difference? Clapton heard jimi hendrix(a real guitar player) play. There is footage of Eddie Van Halen(another actual guitar player) saying he was influenced to tap because of a jimmy page concert performance. I know Eddie mentioned Clapton as an influence but thst was post hendrix cream clapton which is just ripping of jimi’s style.

No offense dude, but you haven't a clue what you're talking about. How many Eric Clapton songs do you actually know?
@kingsteven91283 ай бұрын
@@thehumblepundit9790 actually, you know nothing. Crossroads-riff was a harmonica riff by paul jones clapton stole while in the bluesbreakers. Sunshine of your love, white room-jack bruce. Layla riff is a duane allman riff. Cocain is a jj cale song. How does it feel being exposed as an idiot publicly?
