I was there this night withmy wife and 2 of our children. I flew all the way from West Africa. I was not expecting this song. I remember having tears while he was singing. I thought of my mum. May she resti in peace. ❤❤❤

this song was for richard manuel from the band ! a good friend of him, he recorded his album " no reason to cry " in 1976 in the band studio called " shangri la " in winter of 1976 and participated in november 76 to the last waltz the iconic concert filmed by scorcese for the goodbye of The band as a touring group . Manuel took his life sadly in march 1986, clapton wrote that song for his album " august " in 86 and dedicated it to him . RIP richard !
