He mentioned that he probably wasn’t going to do that due to the high cost to do it. Plus, he said most pple. are downloading his songs, & he makes them available to download on iTunes, Spotify, etc. A lot of pple. aren’t even buying CD’s anymore! I agree with you, though-if he made one of just his songs, I’d have to get it! I’ve already downloaded all of his songs!

@@JaimeDornanLady Most of his stuff isn't on Spotify (who do tend to think in album terms and ignore massive YT followings) and they have him mixed up with two different Austin Browns as well. The last person to attempt an Austin playlist clearly gave up! This comes down to a wider problem. In a recent interview David Crosby (of CSNY) said he would never advise any young person, no matter how talented, to become a musician these days, because streaming pays so pitifully badly that you can only make a living by endless touring. Tim said much the same thing recently, that the videos are to create an audience for live shows. Although an HF patron, I think it's wrong that artists should be dependent on begging the public for subscriptions and patronage, taking music back to the Middle Ages! Of course HF have such a heavy touring programme that time for solo appearances is limited. And of course Austin is aware of all this, but i sometimes wonder whether his declarations that he doesn't want anything more are strictly true. His voice and artistry give such sheer pleasure to anyone who hears him that it seems a shame that people just don't come across him.
