Nice work ! I'm a fan, going back to '68 when i was 11 with SSOYL. Older kids had Beano when it was new but that was beyond me then. That and all the Cream stuff and more is here now. Took awhile but finally got to see him in '07, a very nice 50th BD gift. Family who took us was a huge "Derek" and Duane fan, This show was the last of the tour with Derek Trucks before he left to join up with the ABB. It was great !

Eric is a GREAT GUITAR 🎸 player and song writer. However, a lot of his songs were co-written, even without credit. E.g. "LAYLA" is officially credited to Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon. But it is was thee "DUANE ALLMAN" who wrote the INTRO RIFF, which is heard throughout the song. AND DUANE also plays slide guitar 🎸 in the song ( RIP- 1971). Originally, the song was written as a ballad. "DUANE ALLMAN" changed it into a ROCK song (Thank Goodness)!! That was during "DEREK and the DOMINOES." IN "CREAM" JACK BRUCE ( bass player and singer), wrote a lot of the material. Even CLAPTON'S "TEARS IN HEAVEN" was co-written. AND "COCAINE" was a cover. I only mention any of this as not everyone is familar. He undoubtedly has a TOP SPOT in ROCK HISTORY... but the BLUE RIBBON still goes to "JIMI HENDRIX!" HENDRIX covered some songs ( DYLAN, BEATLES, HOWLIN' WOLF, CREAM, etc), but wrote most of the music he played, and wrote without co-writers; and he was on the scene less than 4 YEARS. "JEFF BECK" (RIP) was a better player (IMO), than "CLAPTON" as well.
