My husband died 10 years ago. He played guitar and had a great singing voice. This was our song. When he sang it, even with lots of people around, when he got to the part 'you just don't realize how much I love you', he ALWAYS turn and looked into my eyes. Makes me tear up just thinking about it.

EdD5 you feel better after being snide and sarcastic with someone who you don't even know? I wasn't saying what the song was about! That's pretty self-explanatory. I was saying this is how a woman wants to be looked at by the man in her life.

It’s a shame that there people aren’t writing love songs like this anymore. Surely we still fall in love and need a gentle song for swaying with someone special. That also goes for heartfelt songs about longing for another person and painful breakups.

I hate to ruin this for everyone, but this was one of those songs that was misinterpreted. This is a song about Clapton agreeing with his wife so he wouldn't piss her off (the one he stole from George Harrison), "and then she asked me, do I look alright? Then I said yes, you look wonderful tonight." You know how it takes woman a while to get ready to go out.
