The music of tears fallen and angry afterthoughts. Cannot keep my eyes off pianist’s beautiful hands. Huge respect for bringing it to my ears to hear this naked feelings.

It seems to me pieces of this nature are conceived in some otherworldly half light. And the composer is uniquely enlightened internally to wield this strange and emotionally bizarre and beautiful stream of sounds into what moves the hearers beyond words and visions. I love the exquisite and dramatic philosophy Schubert employed to flesh out something to be pondered for hours after listening. I have loved this slow movement for decades and consider it one of the most powerful utterances of the spirit and soul possible. Brother Lu has evidently spent countless hours of devoted care to bring his own unique skills to bear wonderfully on the transcendent quality of this masterpiece. And Schubert threw in three other movements besides; talk about embarrassment of riches! PWG

ever see the bresson film that uses this music, either mouchette or au hasard balthazar

@@extanegautham8950 never heard of the “Bresson film” but it would be a bucket list wonder to hear a live performance of this profoundly beautiful piano sonata by the likes of Olga Kern maybe? Peace and blessings, PWG

Totally agree with you about the transcendent and sublime character of this movement. There is also a strong sense of time being suspended and a window temporarily opened into another subliminal space. The return of the subject embellished with the triplet figures at Bar 158 is one of the most sublime moments in all music. This performance has both elegance and gravitas.
