I AM SOOOO FRICKIN' HAPPY!!! I FOUND IT!!! I COULD JUST CRYYY!!! I HAVEN'T HEARD THIS SONG IN FOREVER because the tape that I had it recorded on (from the radio)…WAAAY back in the day…broke...and for the life of me...I couldn't remember the name of this song!!! I WAS DEVASTATED!!! I STILL KNOW EVERY NOTE...EVERY DRUM BEAT...YES I'M PLAYING MY AIR DRUM SET!!!! HONEY!!!! I HAVE REPEATED THIS ABOUT ABOUT 97 BAZILLION and 12 TIMES!!! 🤣😂🤣 The person playing the synthesizer is playing their ___ off!!! Eric is KILLING IT!!! PERIOD!!! I LOVE THIS SONG ERIC!!! ❤❣❤❣❤❣❤❣❤❣❤❣❤❣❤

I AM SCREAMING!!! LOUD!!! 🤣 OH MY GOD!!! I FOUND IT!!!!! 😀 I KNOW THIS SONG ANYWHERE!!! I recorded it on my tape recorder back in the day!!! 🤣 I just forgot the name of the song. I just started going through all of your albums. Then I remembered it came out in the 80s. Then...plain as day...I heard in my head...the DJ from 92Q (during Quiet Storm) - WQQK in Nashville, TN saying, "Premonition" by Eric Marienthal!!!" I asked myself, "Can this really be it?" Then I clicked Play and DAMN-NEAR FAINTED!!! 🤣😂🤣 All it took was ONE NOTE from that synthesizer!!! ONE NOTE!!! THIS SONG IS SO FRICKIN' PRETTY!!! OH MY GOD!!! ❤❣❤❣❤❣❤❣❤❣❤❣❤❣ I AM SO HAPPY NOW!!! 😀 GOD BLESS YOU ERIC MARIENTHAL!!! LOVE YOU FOREVER!!! 🎶🎷❣🎷❣🎷🎶

Not a trace of sounding aged! As fresh as the day it was released 29 years ago. Still as mesmerised and spellbound by it as I was back in '88. Truly marvellous!

Never really been into E. Marienthal, but I really like this tune. To hear Patittuci and Colauita sit down on a ballad is no biggie since both are seasoned session cats. But its particularily interesting and surprising to hear Chick Corea play Urban/R&B/Smooth Jazz-flavored piano. Everytime I hear this tune I expect to hear a Chickism: An abstract chord voicing or crazy fill, and it never happens. He basically did a Ramsey Lewis/Joe Sample/George Duke impression. That kind of restraint, disicipline, and taste from a certified Jazz/Rock chopsmeister is impressive IMO. Wonder if he'll ever try it again?
