Yes! Instead of revising the "Dude, let's go!" to "Okay, let's go!" they definitely should've said "Well, we gave that a shot!" instead. For one, it would be unexpected, because they would be recreating the call exactly except at that final moment. Plus, the purists would forgive their attempts if they were self-deprecating about it all.

i think because the feeny call was Erics thing in boy meets world it just started with eric just saying mr feeny name which eric would always call mr feeny whenever he needed a mentor then the feeny call got longer and longer. i recommend watching some boy meets world episode to get the feel of shawn hunters story since the season 3 finale is going to have mr turner and shawn and most of the boy meets world cast in it. mr turner was shawns guardian in season 3 of boy meets world.

They did this amazingly and who gives a CRAP if it's different/the same/better/worse than Eric's? The BMW flashbacks are just one great aspect of this wonderful series and the writers are incredible at what they do. The BMW fans (especially those that didn't grow up watching it) should just be happy that there is a modern day BMW. Not to mention, they couldn't have picked two girls to better exemplify Cory and Shawn than Rowan and Sabrina.

Same plots used, same teaching devices that related to their lives, just done in so much more of an over the top way in Girl Meets World, they even used the same location and general story at the ski lodge! That said, I thought it was an awesome show. I loved seeing all the little throwbacks, because that just made it all the more special for me.
