It's my first time to listened to Swedish music. Honestly,that sounds great and sweet af p.s. i think that Swedish sounds like the smoother version of German
@mioo93876 жыл бұрын
Swedish is heavily influenced by German, due to trading and stuff in the 1600's or so, so that's understandable! :D

english translation correct me if i'm wrong! "So damn wrong" Your cigars are right where they were when we two were left Your perfume? and broken glass but now I turn leaves For everything you have left, I have burned As if we never happened Your cigars are right where they were when we two were left Everything feels so damn wrong when I see you go It's raining all over town What was you and I will never come back Everything feels so damn wrong when I see you go It's raining all over town What was you and I will never come back Prints everything we had Wipe out words just like you did The consequences of my stupid choice everything went so fast You sold our apartment cheaply and the debts hold me Prints everything we had Wipe out words just like you did Everything feels so damn wrong when I see you go It's raining ...

Where to begin? Let’s start with what is really good about this. Eric looks great. His voice sounds great. The video is darkly interesting. I’m thrilled that he’s come out of hiding and is actually actively working again. That happens way too little these days. And I am over the moon excited to hear that he will be hosting/presenting Melodifestivalen 2019. That is excellent news and will no doubt give him a massive burst of exposure in Sweden, as well as garner him fresh attention all around Europe, and even in other parts of the world. Now for what is not so good about this. And it’s unfortunately a very big turn-off (and Eric Saade should always be anything but a turn-off). I don’t live in Sweden and I don’t speak Swedish, like so many of Eric’s other international fans. So I unfortunately don’t understand a single word beyond the title, which I translated via Google. I gather that the lyrical content of the song is very personal and emotional. If only I could understand any of it. I have to say that the language barrier is a colossal disappointment (particularly since Eric has mostly always released his music in English before), as is hearing that Eric is FINALLY going to release his long-delayed album #5 (It’s been 5 damn years), BUT it’s also reportedly to be in Swedish, and therefore utterly inaccessible to all his non-Swedish fans. Wtf? If any of his albums need to be rethought, it’s definitely this one. I’ve been a hardcore fan of Eric since 2010. I have followed him and supported him through all his twists and turns. He is my favorite male artist hands down. I own and frequently listen to all his English albums and stand-alone singles, and I regularly review his KZbin official videos and live performances. I want to see him dominate the global pop charts and become a household name and recognizable face all over the planet or die trying. I believe in him and I want that kind of widespread international success for him more than I think he wants that for himself these days. And that is really frustrating. It frustrates me because I believe that he could do all of that, if he would only be persistent and work his ass off for it like he once did. That however is for a different long-winded conversation all on its own. But the decision for him to switch to Swedish lyrics (especially for an entire album and for a year’s worth of performance material, and after we’ve already been kept waiting so long) is the absolute worst idea ever from an accessibility standpoint. After spending the last 8 years skillfully cultivating a wide international audience (something which he is unbelievably fortunate to have done), why on earth would it seem like a good idea to just abandon all of that and just scale back to a Sweden-only focus? As a loyal international fan, it feels like we have been coldly dumped, disregarded, and devalued by this decision. The title of this song, “So Damn Wrong” accurately describes what is being done to Eric’s international fans by switching extensively at this point into his career over to Swedish lyrics. The Swedes (to their credit) also speak excellent English. The world outside of Sweden does not (with very few exceptions) speak Swedish. These simple facts make recording/performing in English much more practical for Swedish artists, particularly when they have as much international attention as Eric does. If ABBA, Avicii, Zara Larsson and Robyn (and so many other excellent Swedish artists) think it better not to narrow their focus, then Eric should consistently be broadening his focus too. If it is nevertheless deemed important to also release music in Swedish, I could live with that if Eric would decide to record and release both English and Swedish versions of everything at the same time. That way all sides could be satisfied. It also would be a great marketing gimmick, as that’s not really done by anyone that I’m aware of on a regular basis. But if it is to be an either/or proposition, fairness and good business sense would be for his releases to be in English. A wider target audience means more fans and more money. A smaller target audience means the opposite, and that’s just silly. We need Eric to re-embrace his international fan base solidly and like a week ago. This Swedish only, for Swedes only strategy is unfair, unwise and undiplomatic, particularly given the recent rise of the Swedish Democrats and other nationalistic, right-wing, inward-looking movements in Sweden and around the world. Eric should run as hard as he can in the opposite direction and instead ceaselessly use his platform to reach beyond national borders and position himself to a global audience as a goodwill ambassador representing the greatness of Swedish pop music to the whole world (like he’s always done), which includes all Swedes, rather than scale back to a Swedish-only audience, which pointedly excludes the rest of the world. Let’s get Eric back to performing in English again for the greater good of the woefully besieged cause of cosmopolitanism, and for a more inclusive global community. Let’s do it also to help spread the greatness of Swedish pop (especially Eric’s music) all around the world, as he used to often ambitiously proclaim was his ultimate goal, and as he rightly deserves. But most of all, let’s do it to give justice to Eric’s long-suffering (but doggedly-loyal) international fans, who account for half or more of his amazing GLOBAL community of fans, and who deserve way, way better than to be neglected for so long and then totally dropped out of the conversation by erecting unnecessary language barriers between them. Let’s get Eric back on top of his (broad-based) game, and let’s please welcome everyone to the party regardless of what country they hail from. Team Saade, you have a serious accessibility problem. Please make it right. Yesterday might be quick enough. #EricSaadeForAll 🎟🌎🌍🌏

I believe that it is a great to release songs in Swedish. Obviously it's a little annoying for us non-Swedes that his songs are incomprehensible for us due to the language barrier. However, after all, he is a SWEDISH singer and him promoting his mother tongue and culture to his international audience is very good. I love the song and translating the lyrics to English really isn't a big deal.
