The Fatman sequence is a cinematic masterpiece. The music is a huge part of it. The panicked breathing of the Fatman and the heartbeat sounds (right before Leon appears in the shadows behind him with the knife) are part of the music, too. Everything works together for maximum entertainment... it's so gripping!

Eric Serra adds this low-pitch metalic hitting sound to many of his music tracks as a trademark. I had a sample once like that called "Depthcharge". It was also in tracks from Goldeneye and Fifth Element, also composed by mr. Serra. Love that touch!

There's a few nerds who researched the hell out of finding that wonderful pipe sound , Not sure what serra did but I know the music guys of goldeneye game said the music tech they had used a pipe sound which was a tambourine but slowed and pitched right down with reverb

Yes, more realistic. John Wick is badass and I love those films but they’re all WAY to exaggerated and Wick is basically an overpowered video game character with all cheat codes enabled. Leon is more convincing as a person and a hitman. No fancy marital arts pirouettes just straight to the point. This soundtrack is stellar btw🌟

the more i watch leon the more i realise that hitman has inspirations from this movie, 2 big ones are during this opening sequence when leon chokes the dude from the ceiling, and when he uses tonto as a dummy and goes thru the elevator shaft, like in hitman absolution when you arrive to kill laila
