A couple of years later and this is still one of the best full demos for this system. Thank you for this walk through as I come back every once in a while to refresh.

Finally got this wonderful Fusion System 2 ! Love it, however no manual and I'm just teaching myself Modular Synthesis thru videos and books. Your video helped me so much. Please do more. You mentioned going through the VCA-Waveshaper-Ringmod next. Hope you're doing well ~💡

Hey. How is the system? I’m just wondering if Vintage Ensemble module out goes straight to outboard mixer? Thanks
@EleniEliades_3 жыл бұрын
@@marcinlacfik8813 :Don't use an outside mixer so honesty I've had so many issues & frustrations with the way this entire system is linked together electronically so each Module can be heard and used with the next one I've put it away for a while. I was using it the way you are asking about. Using the Fusion/Delay/Chorus Module as the "out" which then goes into an Amplifier "input". I think that's where the issues etc. are coming from. I need a mixer. You should call Erica Synths and just ask them. That's where you will get your answer. I'm pretty new to all this still. Best thing to do is talk to Erica Synths. I'm dealing with some health things so I haven't called them about my questions concerning the FUSION 2 System. I hope you find the answer/s to your question. Let me know what you found as well...I would appreciate it. Ciao~💡🌌🙉💥🎵🤙

An absolutely amazing Fusion System l l created by the team at Erica Synths . Great opening review of this system except for one issue which was the sound of Fusion System l l -volume was very low so even though my volume was turned up to loudest it could go, I still had a difficult time as I tried to hear the sounds you were making on the separate Modules. Perhaps next video you can turn up the volume when sharing sound examples and lowering your voice volume. I'm looking forward to your next video about this wonderful Fusion System l l . 💡

Thanks and totally agree. It's a fantastic system and yes my audio was off. Fixed for later videos.

I'm really interested about it and I'm seriously considering to purchase it. Otherwise I'm considering "das kleine fusion" at the least. I like Erica Synths modules, in the past I got many of its modules (Fusion VCO2 too, that's an amazing oscillator). I like very much the nasty bass sounds. My goal is to play my post-industrial dark-drone soundscapes with it and my Pulsar 23, Korg sequencer and various pedals...

Good day, what a great video. Much appreciated. I could use some expert advice, hope you can help me out... I'm moving my fusion system 2 into a 2x104hp case. (To complement my erica techno system) Already decided on the erica black sequencer so I have 60HP space left to fill up the 208HP case. Which erica black modules would you find most beneficial/ complementary to the this setup? I'm not interested in any additional voices or dsp effects. Mainly looking to take the system to next level with the available 60HP I have left. Basically expanding on what's already there if that makes any sense. The joystick seems like fun, but not to sure. Maybe I should focus on other mandatory modules first? Any thoughts on this? Many thanks in advance 🙃
@theoysterhouseboys3 жыл бұрын
That is probably too personal a thing for me to make an accurate suggestion but the joystick is a great option. It is really versatile and will allow you to interact in unique ways. Recording your motion is pretty cool too.

I experience very loud crackling noise burst from VCF3 when opening it up from 9 o‘clock, have you been able to deal with this issue?A issue I have seen with Erica’s Syntrx, maybe the trick is not to max the input on the filter mixer,thus less drive. Do you approach it this way?
@theoysterhouseboys3 жыл бұрын
I’ve not experienced that myself but I rarely crank the input anyway, which might explain that.

Thanks. Yes, that goes straight into my audio interface. I’d normally go via a mixer in my main rig but didn’t for this video.

Hey man just got mine I have a moog grandmother as well but this is my first eurorack system so this may be a stupid question but Whereis L out of the fusion delay module being routed just powered mine but still trying to figure how to start hearing sound since there is no line output on the back to plugin directly into my audio interface and record that way it is def new territory for me
@theoysterhouseboys4 жыл бұрын
There is no standard left to right then out workflow with this. It really depends how you patch it. Some of the modules have a sum/mix out. You can take a feed from there. Just make sure you are plugging it into something that can handle the hotter signal you get from eurorack. Most audio interfaces have a gain control but even some of these can’t handle it. You might need to reign it in using your vca.
@theoysterhouseboys4 жыл бұрын
You could combine with your grandmother in a few ways. Either as cross modulation or take your audio out of the fusion into the gm. Then you can use the audio out of the gm for a less hot signal. Good luck exploring! That’s half the fun. Shout if you get stuck. Happy to help.

I just got this unit in, and I am not sure that it is capable of having a gated oscillator sound. I am wrong? How do I get note on note off functionality?

One way would be to use a short envelope controlling the vca.
