Love what you did with the Syntrix II, I am especially fond of the distorted sounds. Beautiful pictures too!

@@dirklinden The Syntrx II is truly a one-of-a-kind machine. Although I initially found the patch matrix a bit daunting, it's fantastic to be able to save matrix setups. Switching between these setups instantly brings you to unique and surprising sounds. The rich overtones (which you easily create by routing feedback loops) are, in my opinion, the most beautiful sounds you can make with the Syntrx II. It was an absolute pleasure to try out this synth. Thank you so much for that!

5:19 Such unexpected fun, that reverb pitching up. Really curious to what your experiences are with this - probably hard to master - marvel. You didn't use anything like a distortion?

@@jairkerker2821 Ha Jair, it’s a fun box. Indeed it can be a bit hard to master, but the unexpected is what this synth is about. I didn’t use external fx (only some reverb / delay from Ableton). You can get distortion type sounds quite easy on this one.

@rimela I've been on the fence regarding the AKS (& likewise creatures). Pricey for such exotic and probably sparse use, but still.. as interesting as its users :) And those harmonic overtones are wonderful!

@@jairkerker2821 Getting EMS (old or new) is very difficult. It is beautiful stuff, and it forces a different way of working, more experimental. That is great. However, I am more of a keyboard guy. The SNTRX is certainly a nice box, and I think a fine alternative for the EMS, but if you already have a modular setup it is not essential, it integrates very nicely though. I am not a fan of the matrix myself (I prefer plugging cables). The overtones are very easy to make with the SYNTRX, that is its strong point (for me at least).

Fantastic! What were you using to sequence the SYNTRX?
@rimela18 күн бұрын
Thanks! I used the Moon Modular M 569 Quad Sequential Voltage Source and the Free State FX FSFX110 Topographic Drum Sequencer. Also I used Ableton to sequence via MIDI.

Roland RS-09?
@rimela18 күн бұрын
Hey Aaron, yes it’s the RS-09. It’s limited, cheesy sounding and perfect for adding a few chords and nostalgia. I have it permanently plugged in and use it in modular jams very often.

@@rimela very cool. had one for a short time and loved the chorus on it.

@@AaronFoltz The chorus is fantastic indeed. And it has external input 🤗
