"Emmett till energy" is the most profound and true statement regarding this type of behavior. I find it to be a new form of anti socialism and as a man I guard myself against this behavior and move in stealth and silence. The other day this yt women dropped her credit card in the door way of the super market and I turned around and walked out the other exit, farthest from my car so I would not have to catch any potintial, negative energy. Yup, I've only seen this happen to black men in America, and I never ever hear anyone talk about it... so its easy to just brush it aside. This video gives me chills, literally sends chills down my spine if this was a black guy... because this exact same thing happened to me in college. Except it was with a white girl we all knew in our mutual group of friends. She lost at beer pong and had to run around naked in the house... it was me, a dark skin guy and everyone else who were white guys. She told everyone that she wasn't gonna do it, and then when I'm busy playing beer pong with others, she disappears ... along with all the white guys in our friend group. She ran around the house naked, everyone came back inside along with a ton of new guys we didn't know at the party and they kept asking me *"Wow did you see her tits? Did you see how she looked?* That was amazing" I thought nothing of it... until I overheard her later at the party mentioning to a girlfriend "I didn't want *My Name* to see me". I was flabbergasted, she was super friendly to me, hugging me all the time, and I always made it clear to her I only saw her as a friend... but she intentionally singled me out to not see her. Later on the truth was revealed, she begin saying how she is attracted to every race of man but black men. This was in 2020 at a liberal university, I've come to accept a lot of white women still view black men as Emmett Till. Later on she begin spreading rumors to me to friends... negative rumors in hopes of making other girls dislike me. Eventually they all saw it as bull**** and she got ostracized from the friend group but it was still extremely hurtful, and now I just feel like most American white women are still deeply racist, its just more subtle.

I find so many young women wearing the garb (too tight and revealing and hungry for attention) and ready to say something if a guy looks at them a nanosecond. They are also ready to say something not nice to a another female. Young lady, you are on point with your comments. It is natural for men and women to look at each other. Nature is at work as set in motion way before any of us got here. If I had to guess, your parents did a good job giving you a foundation.

Good video! I didn't even consider the race of the people in this case. Just glad to see it getting worked out in social media, because women in the gym have been out of line for decades. This showing off body parts and then attacking anybody who looks, but is not on her social circle, has been going on since gyms went co-ed back in the 1990's.

IDK anything about the Emmett Till part (I'm asian, not black) but thank you for being based enough to call a spade a spade. That behavior is bullshit. We're all in the gym to get tore up and look our best... There was a time not too long ago when we used to compliment each other for looking that good, and encourage each other to get even BETTER than that. What happened to folks walking by while you're doing a set and saying "Get it King!" or "Get it, Queen!"? Hell, that was motivating as fuck! I made a lot of good friends, male and female, because of openings like that. Hell, one of my closest female friendships started like that, with HER walking over to ME and straight up saying "I need to do YOUR leg workout!" I said, "well, shit, work in then, girl. Get it!" And the rest was history. 15 years on and we still hit the gym every Saturday with our crew. 👩🐝🦁

Get it girl!!! Its nice to hear from a fellow black woman on these issues. Same here I've always thought to myself why women blame men for looking at them if all they're giving men to look at is their boobs and butt. Again a woman can do what she wants to do but shouldn't complain when they get the attention they're seeking! Personally I go to the gym in tshirts and leggings as well. I look down all the time so I never pay attention to anyone who is working out so if a man is looking I would never know lol. Its human nature to look at the people around you in a public area. I'm socially awkward so I just look down and try everything I can to avoid eye contact lol. But right on. Glad there's still women who look at these social issues with logic and common sense!

I got too much hammocks for that and I am doing jump squats. 😒 But, when I need to look at my form, I will pull back my mens t-shirt if I am looking in the mirror at my form for rdl’s, sumo squats, good mornings, etc. since I don’t have a spotter unfortunately. People are going to look. It is what it is. But she was definitely out of pocket.

Imagine going to the Grand Canyon and telling someone not to look. We look at things we find aesthetic. I’m at the gym checking the guys out more than the girls but yes. It’s natural to look at things we find beautiful. We’re taught as a society that it’s disrespectful so we try not to do it but I think it really is part of our natural tendency’s. There’s even been studies which show babies will spend more time looking at people which adults rated as better looking. He didn’t even look like he was really checking her out, just glanced to see what she was doing. Whole situation is a mess. Both parties could have handled it better but the guy is the one who was put on blast for all to see with no regard to his personal life. Also I go to tru fit, not sure what gym that is but most commercial gyms have it in their gym rules that you’re not allowed to record in there. It’s never enforced but the reason for that is that it’s impossible to film your workout without also filming others and not everybody wants to be filmed working out… point blank all the vids online of people lifting wrong or misusing machines. Go up to the giy and correct him instead of blasting him on social media so everyone can see. Wonder how many people have quit working out after seeing themselves on the internet being ridiculed when it wasn’t their fault they didn’t know…. Let’s uplift and support all gym goers. They’re chasing pumps just like us 💪🏼
