i loved when james rejected him,like is such soapy goodness,all this as been about harry putting waht his family needs a head of what he need,yes cowardice played a part that why he want through with the wedding when the crisis had passed,but when he finally grew a pair and broke up with ste in athe hospital when ste needed hin the most and the old harry would have just folded and been there for ste,but finally ,he put himself and his relationship with james a head of what people needed from him,he finally walked away ,except in true soap fashion james as head enough,but oh wait the final straw for James is a misunderstanding. Mimi1985d I agree that James/Romeo scene was powerful. James's eyes reveals his true feelings about Romeo. I'm glad that James stuck with his ultimatium he gave to Harry. His relationship with Harry was toxic anyways. I think that Harry was with James because he is afraid of commitment and he views himself as being damaged goods after prostituting himself. James was with Harry to make him feel young and get bits of the teenage years that Mac took from him.

jarry relationship was anything but toxic,harry is not afraid of commitment,he as been committed to ste from the moment they met,have never seen someone so love desperately in need of commitment ,harry and ste would have married long time ago if it was upto harry,James doesn't need to feel young the guy is 36,i doubt seriously James walks around mourning his lost youth.there is 14 years difference between james and harry and 11 between ste and harry ,so lets not pretend james is that older.jarry are not finished not by a long short ,its just the full stop before the next chapter.

Unless viewers have poorer memories than a gold fish, they would never have bought into this strange storyline Hollyoaks has put together with those three.

k h Sorry, but I don`t find that very likely. Before the wedding Harry told James he married Ste cause his family needed something positive, and that he loved both James and Ste. So by logical assumption, when Harry changes his mind and returns to James even after having married Ste, James would have been happy and welcoming, had he truly loved Harry. If he is more concerned about being second choice, than about being together with the one he claims to love, than clearly he cannot be in love. Had he been, he would have been both over the moon and grateful Harry had come back to him, and rather than dismiss him feeling second best, James would have done his best to prove to Harry Harry had made the right choice opting for him, despite the marriage to Ste. THAT would have been love. Kicking Harry out of the house and into a potentially deadly storm, is so not!

The actor Gregory Finnegan said that everyone can see that James loves Harry but he was so angry and disappointed and might have felt that he was taken for granted and that´s why he kicked Harry out or you can interpret it as James now realized that Harry actually is too young for him. Harry has always come running to James for help and James may have felt used because of that and Harry has said that he wants James and then changed his mind and said that he needs to be with Ste...back and forth all the time and because of that it can be difficult for James to trust Harry and he doesn´t want anyone to play with his feelings anymore. JP and Kyle betrayed him so he tries to protect himself and don´t want to get hurt over and over again. It´s good that James and Harry are seperated so they can figure out what they really want and if they really want each other they will find a way to get back to each other again. The actor also said that he loves to work with Parry and there are many Jarry fans out there and that is something that the writers/producers should consider and ride on that wave now.

Ann-Christine Nilsson I never take at face value what cast members say about how they feel about the show or their character, cause they are not expressing themselves freely, they are promoting the show when making statements of that nature. If they privately hated both their character and the show, they would not admit so publicly, out of fear they will not be cast in anything else cause they are rumored to cause trouble. So even if they are disappointed not to have their contract renewed, angry about how their character or storyline has developed, they keep it to themselves and publicly pretend they were ready for new challenges, excited about the new development or storyline, cast addition or whatever it might be. I`m not going to mention names, but I know of soap cast who - after they left the soap - in private trash everything from the soap, to producers to co-stars. And many soap exits have not been to the liking of the cast playing the exited characters either. 3 former major Emmerdale cast members was less than happy when their characters were killed off. Others again - among them two former Hollyoaks cast - were so little happy with their characters and storylines they nagged their agents to get them out anyway possible. Some of it reaches the media, but most of it doesn`t. And only comes to light years afterwards, when the cast member in question has moved on to new projects and established successful careers - and therefore feels safe enough from repercussions to spill the beans; or they write their biographies. Or in some cases, are so bitter of the career being more behind them, than ahead, they regret having left the soap, and bad mouth their former show to maintain media`s focus, and not be forgotten. Again I am not going to mention names (but with the information I leave here he is easy to google), but a former Aussie teen star on the soap Home and Away, currently living in Norway, married to a Norwegian woman and working as a musician - years after he left the soap, told about being threatened with physical violence for having forgotten some lines - delaying shooting. And that by a major cast member on the show. He said this in an interview with an Australian newspaper. Likewise the actor Paul Nicholls has openly said that the reason he never will return to Eastenders, is that he hated it there. Some of his co-cast were not very nice and friendly at all, and as a result he became almost a recluse for a while. From other sources I know that Nicholls was the highest paid teen star on tv in Britain at the time - and as a result of this became a victim of a campaign aimed at undermining his position, by badmouthing his professional abilities as an actor to the press. With a constant flow of agents and actors badmouthing Nicholls for his performance, some journalists were fooled into thinking it was true - and Nicholls performance as mentally ill teenager Joe Wicks on Eastenders became something of a joke in certain media, and as a consequence also among the general public. Nicholls has proved them wrong by having had a long and successful career both on tv and in films in the UK, and also a few projects in the US. The cliche about shows being like an extended family and more, aren`t always true. And no matter how displeased an actor is about a project, character, co-star, director etc - they will never say so publicly. So whether Gregory Finnegan actually means and feels as he claims - or if he just is towing the line - he only knows himself.

Wow what a heartbreaking episode. I was left utterly devastated with the final moments. Lily getting saved by the man she is going to hurt and cheat on and Tegan died. The reaction of her family members said it all. I can't even begin to imagine how Ste feels. He has lost so many loved ones in the last 5 years. The love of his life, his mum, Doug, father, step mum, Amy, his daughter, Ryan and now his sister.

There's a lot of hate for Harry here and I guess it's justified... I'm probably biased because he's one of my favourite characters but I think he has also suffered a lot during this. We've seen that he has felt trapped in his relationship for a long time and that he felt like he owed his family and Ste to act and feel in a certain way... At no point has anyone really tried to properly understand what he went through with the Amy ordeal, it was like... Everybody turned their backs on him (Tony disowned him, Ste jumped on Ryan) and then afterwards for things to work out everybody wanted to forget what had happened and demanded for things to just go back to the way they were before even though that was very obviously never going to work... Because they decided to forgive him for the things he did he wasn't allowed to expect anything in return even though Harry has already forgiven a lot of horrible things from both Ste and Tony in the past. So I've felt really bad for Harry in all of this and still think he deserves happiness at some point.. There's no denying he has been acting like a douchebag lol but I honestly think it's out of confusion and powerlessness, not because he ever wanted to hurt anyone.

Looking back, it's not a mystery why Harry turned to James. I actually think the story has been written well. Harry felt like James was the only one he could be himself with because James was the only one who actually LISTENED, showed interest in what he was going through and saw him for him... At the same time Ste had forgiven Harry for some horrible things so how could he ever leave Ste without feeling horrible and guilty? That dilemma has really pushed him over the brink. OK so that's the end of my rant for now lol...

I'm quite happy with how this turned out. Ste needed to hear that Harry x James wasn't just an affair but that he's in love with him. James is understandably messed up right now because of his teenage son so I can't blame him for his reaction. But Jarry has always been such a beautiful slow burn so this little 'break up' needed to happen for them to have a clean slate in the future.

wait people actually think jarry is over?,what soaps have you guys been watching,the break up is important storywise for two reason,the break give the writers space to focus on james /romeo and two to set a reset button for this relationship so they can actually start from more healthy place when harry comes back,thirs they are not giong to let the misunderstanding stand forever ,james will find out that ste wanted to stay with harry and harry broke it off because of james ,and he is probably going to find out after harry is gone.

It's also a good thing they are actually over because with tegan dead Ste will be having some mixed feelings of guilt in who he saved from the falling tree. It's truly over for Ste and Harry there is no coming back after that.

I get that James is still reeling from the revelation that he has a son with the woman his father forced him to have sex with in an effort to "make him straight" 🙄 but he is, for the most part, a rational adult, and when Romeo was tied down under water and he didn't reach his hand out to bring him out of the water...that's low. You don't just walk away - you set aside your demons while that adrenaline is pumping and you do what you need to do to save a life. Also...Tegan was my favorite Lomax girl. I'm gonna go cry for a bit.

I've never ever been mad at Ste before. I'm so incredibly angry with him for pushing Harry out of the way. Tegan has always gotten on my nerves but for her to die... instead of Harry drives me mad. If you are gonna be happy for James and Harry eventually being a couple then fair enough, however there is no reason to dismiss and be in denial about Harry's previous feelings for Ste. Harry DID love Ste and was in love with him for a good while but now he is not. Harry wanting James now doesn't diminish what he and Ste had. Yes it all went horribly wrong but they had genuine strong feelings for one another. It's comments like this that would never make like jarry apart from other issues!

What a great episode. I felt sorry for Ste, Harry just was savage and left him not cool. James was right not to take him after all the begging he did he must have some pride and now that he found out about his son being almost the same age as his lover, awkward. Hope the still get together I have been shipping them forever not going to give up. The acting was so good all around and who would have thought Sinead and Sami love them already.

Poor Ste he went through so much in the episode. Yes he's messed a lot with Harry but he believed Harry loved him and wanted to spend forever with him, then Harry contuined to marry him then confessed his love for James. Then his sister died like wow poor Ste

I'm really glad that Tegan's injury was not used as a way to keep Starry together a little longer. Harry maned up and told Ste he couldn't be that person for him anymore. And I am going to miss Tegan. I'm sure Jarry will work things out, but I hope Harry doesn't do anything dumb in the meantime.
