I've done a lot of searching on YT and that was the best explanation of the serratus anterior.

I'm just freckin figuring this out man. My UT's been so tight over years and years, but once I started really feeling my serratus anterior muscle there seems to be more strength and less tightness in my shoulder overhead. Appreciate the tidbits!

What type of movements would help this? Or minimize the shoulder blade from coming off the mid back? Wall slides...?

Sam Adams I REALLY recommend physical therapy for this. Really winging scapula is definitely qualifying as a medical necessity so should be covered. There's stuff you can do but a really brilliant PT will make all the difference in the world. It's never just one muscle and the balance of muscles iand flexibility s really important. And unique to you.

Just what i am experience, my left side works much better than my right, maybe because i am left handed and i use that upward rotation more often with more muscle-mind connection. Do you have any recommended exercises to correct this imbalances? My uppertraps are also huge.

So how do you fix it? Did this athlete gain use of his serratus? Did the nerve heal?

I was wondering the same -- did the nerve heal??
