This woman made an impression. She is the only western woman to have such obvious success in Hong Kong. I remember going to buy these films on VCD in the Chinatown of Paris. She has worked with the best. She looks so simple. Thank you so much for this quality interview 🙏

Cynthia Rothrock it's the best female Martial Artist and Action movies actress since ever. She had a great career en Hongkong and USA. She deserved more success and recognition than she has today. She was an example to follow not only for women but also for many men in this environment. She remains and will remain a good example, a great idol of the world of action and martial arts films of the 80's and 90's for these colleges but also for all these fans and lovers of this style of cinema. Congratulations and thank you for everything. From 🇫🇷 by a 🇵🇹 fan. Kinds Regards.

I was so honored to take her scorpion kick in 2016 and I was bummed her and I didn’t get to fight in prey of wrath Cuzz I was injured. But Cynthia is such kind person to work with. I’m Amazed after all her years she can still move. It’s inspiring.

anyone who is a fan of martial arts and martial arts films have been given great credit to the female action stars. its the western production and some peoducers that underrated them and so they couldn't as big asnthey could until the 2000s. thats why i am grateful to be around during the girls with guns era of hong kong cinema

As an Asian seen her Hong Kong film back here since a kid...She should reunite with Michelle Yeoh and action choreographer for another film again!!!! 2014 Mercenaries the female expendables has Cynthia but lacks Michelle and Corey as the action director.

I didn't see her mention that a lot of times in HK women (or even men) would be doubled by someone on the stuntteam because they need to move on and can't risk any injuries. Lots of stunts are actually done by men dressed as women in her movies. By the way, this is not a critique. Just stating the facts. She looks amazing and she's a great rolemodel for women around the world. Keep fit and stay in shape!!

I think she's mentioning something about being doubled in her talk with Scott Adkins, on his YT channel. Coincidentally, you can see her being doubled in the sideways somersault @ 23:45 and for the jumping roundhouse @ 24:29. And, yeah, as you said, it was the norm, everyone's been doubled in that era of HK martial arts movies, including Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee (whose acrobatics double was the great Yuen Wah). Sometimes they did it simply to save time, like when a conversation scene was being filmed with the main cast, in a different location. That gave the action director the opportunity to film sequences in which the actors' faces wouldn't be visible anyway, with just doubles.

@@Kijinn exactly brother. I have seen the SA episode with CR (I have seen all the videos on his channel) and I remember it being discussed and even shown. One of the next guest on Eric's show is Mars, who I presume you know. That's going to be maybe the most important interview with a stuntman ever.
