8:03 fun fact. In some Simpsons episodes, you can see bender in the basement. This wss an homage to the series since they didnt think they'd be picked up again... Again... Again.

Both technically exist as fictional franchises in each others shows, showing merch dolls. One guy in Simpsons once jumped off a cliff because they cancelled Futurama.

One of the best, most hilarious crossovers ever. Also, Fun Fact, those green aliens who appear at the end, Kang and Kodos, are recurring Simpsons characters who show up at least once in every single Treehouse of Horror Halloween special.

Disenchantment does in fact take place in the same universe as futurama, the crossover in each show however is very blink and you'll miss it. You'll see the Futurama side of things in the newer episodes.

Might remember wrong but Matt Groening or one of the futurama episodes in season 11 confirms that Disenchantment happens somewhere in the 1000 years when Fry was frozen

That would require an agreement between Netflix and Disney to work but that not impossible so it could happen at some point

You should continue your Disenchantment reactions. While Disenchantment does start off slow, it does get better in the third, fourth and final seasons. Hell, I'll go as far as to say it's better than the last 20+ years of The Simpsons, though you cannot top the first 9/10 Seasons. Futurama is still king though!

@user-kg3xs1bu6x I think it might’ve more like an homage episode it was called "Everthings Jake" season 6 episode 18. In the episode, the magic man drugs Jake, and he goes this mini world inside his body. He encounters Characters voiced Futurama alumni Billy West and Tress MacNeille. Billy gave these characters Futurama voices. Goose has Fry's voice, the Mayor had Zapp's voice, and the Dr. had Farnsworth's voice. Goose in particular acts like Fry, calling himself Jake's best friend. One thing Goose says when he first sees Jake is that it's been 2 years since he last saw him. That is a reference to the fact that at the time, Futurama had been over for 2 years.

This episode definitely feels too short at the standard 22mins, especially when you compare it to the 44min Family Guy/Simpsons crossover that came out just a couple of months prior. Regardless of what you think of the content, the double length runtime definitely let that crossover explore more of the full potential of the concept more than this episode did.
