Howdy folks! Sooo this episode was turned into an altered item lol Somehow our mic audio was erased (we still don't know why lol), so we had to use our camera's mic audio. Unfortunately, that audio was damaged and there was a bunch of crackling sounds. We tried our best to improve it as much as we could, but it won't sound as good as usual, so we apologize for that. Good news is, the rest of the DLC is fine! We hope you enjoy this craaazy finale :) - Eric & Sarah

You can try for this, next time if that happens, a AI audio tool (there are many) that remasters sound/voice. Some do function crazily good actually and are free

Congrats on finishing the main game! Glad you enjoyed it. Love all the music Remedy writes for their games. "Take Control" lyrics basically retell the plot of the events of the game, and the fact that it's by Old Gods of Asgard always got me thinking that these guys also can warp reality or maybe tell the future somehow (through the power of the Lake?) And they're friends with Ahti, apparently (check out the lyrics for "Hero's tango" btw) Thankfully all the songs in AW2 were custom made specifically for this game, so no copyright issues will arise. Can't wait for the DLCs ❤

The general understanding of what happend before Jessie arrived is: Trench was probably terminated by the Board through the gun because he was compromised/corrupted by the Hiss. The Hiss is the dissonance, aggressive, making everything warped and wrong; Polaris/Hedron is the consonance, creating harmony and protection; both come from different slides. Darling went into the Hedron chamber, looking for whatever new dimension/form of existence he peeped on through studying and communicating with the Hedron, never to be seen again. These dichotomies between Hiss and Polaris, Trench and Darling, Dylan and Jessie are very interesting. (I'm on Dylan's side btw, 'cause wtf FBC; if he ever wakes up they better pay for his lifelong therapy appointments)

I imagine these rambling thoughts were replaying in his head before he died, as the Hiss controlled him on the outisde. Utterly trapped :( James McCaffrey absolutely CRUSHED this monologue. He truly could monologue like it was nothing, and still infused them with so much care and character. Gonna miss that voice dearly

2:39:52 Right in the opening monologue of the game, Jesse talks about, in metaphor, the room having a poster and the poster hiding a hole behind it. She then says, "It's like that movie. Ugh, what's it called... the prison movie". "Shawshank Redemption" is the name of the movie that was being referred to here. And after going through ALL of the main campaign of the game, Jesse finally remembers the name lol. This abrupt, random callback gave me a good chuckle when I first played the game lol

28:07 you guys can briefly turn on immortality and up your damage multiplier via the Assist Mode in the Options to quickly do the Expeditions and get that outfit.

I played the final RED Astral Plane level of the game in the dark. Nothing but RED being beamed into my eyes. After reaching Dylan, I paused the game to turn the lights on. Now, I live in a room with with walls, with a white desk. To my surprise, everything that was white now appeared GREEN. And it did so for like... a good 5 min or so as it slowly faded out. It was so cool haha Basically, staring at the colour RED for too long tires out your red photoreceptors. And since red and green are complementary colours, looking at anything white after that will make it appear less red and hence... more green. Cool science.

2:41 If you get all the Newton's Cradles to swing simultaneously, you get a unique mod. I think. I've never been able to make it work. Also, if you feed all the flame-TV's into the Furnace, you get a unique mod. That one I've gotten, and it's amazing.

I actually think that once Jesse arrived, the Board knew that okay... Someone potentially powerful enough to be the Director has just walked in. And Trench is now CLEARLY being used by the enemy. So the Board fired him... literally. That service weapon is "alive", after all. And I believe a research paper about it said that any non-parautilitarians who hold it just DIE. And if a Parautilitarian fails the interview... They also die. Trench had now voided his directorship, and was fired. Jesse was hired.

12:26 hmmm I think that maybe y'all didn't quite manage to align the Newton's Cradles in the mirror dimension. Cuz when you align em both (I started with the mirror dimension ones first), you get a weapon/personal mod. Nothing special or unique, mind you. Just a high level, good mod. So don't worry, y'all didn't miss out on anything really.

“CONTROL: Ultimate Edition” was my introduction to Remedy (in Dec, 2020). I had seen a few clips and was just AMAZED by what I was looking at. While I was doing some mild research into the game, I kept hearing talk of the Ashtray Maze and how it was REALLY GOOD and just EXCELLENT etc. I was excited to reach this place. I found it during early exploration in the Research Sector. I was stumped and figured that I’d have to return there later. But I became nervous. If there is one thing that I dislike… it is messing up an awesome gaming setpiece moment, and dampening the high that everyone else got to experience, for myself. So I was nervous that I would mess up this Maze segment by getting lost in it or whatever. I got nervous. When time came to actually do the Maze… I was SURPRISED to discover that it is actually a bombastic, power-fantasy combat segment set to INCREDIBLE metal music. I dropped all the nervousness and just let it all wash over me. Still one of my favourite Gaming moments of all time. Just incredible stuff. And from that point onwards... I was hooked to Remedy's stuff. It is a studio I trust to deliver something well-made and AWESOME and unique, even if I don't vibe with it that much (which hasn't happened yet).
